  • RIVER DERCHI

  • Going to Italy tomorrow. Gosh, I hope my Italian is better. Need to brush up on it, I guess.

  • Buon Giorno is Good Morning...oh wait...it was night! LOL

  • MARGA-REE-TEE

  • 1:33 - hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! Dominic DeCocco, again..? Dominic DeCocco.

  • River-derchi'

  • hahaha sounds like george bush

  • did landa correct margherite's pronunciation of his own name?

  • 0:48 dominick decoco :D lol

  • like how that guy just moves his hand like an italian LMAO

  • dominic decocco ... ha bravo bravo! (tap on the shoulder) did he just congratulate him for pronouncing his name ?

  • Grazie!

  • MAH-GAHR-REEEEE-TEE.

  • "Arrivederci!"

    "A river dertchy!"

    LOL

  • this so much more funnier if your actualy italian xD haha bonjornooooo love the accent when he says it

  • MARGAREEETEEH!!!!!!!

  • I kinda like *pronounce it fastly* Dominick de'cocco

  • bonjourno, graazie, arriverdeci

  • when i went to the cine to see this movie brad said "yeah correcto" but now everytime i see the movie he says "Si correcto" Am i crazy? o_O

  • @MelloParasite96 prob'ly

  • Love how brad pitt uses his southern accent to speak italian

  • Thumbs if you noticed the Colonel read the ticket nubmers in Spanish!

  • @LastODSTStanding That was probably still Italian. Spanish and Italian have their similarities. I know Spanish and I understand parts of the conversation here.

  • @treetrunk05 Except the Colonel doesn't speak Italian. If he did, he could sooner pick-out them as fake.

  • @LastODSTStanding He could also speak French and he did suspect them as fakes. Thats why he ended up killing the blonde woman and capturing Aldo.

  • LOL. I think Colonel Landa is accusing Americans for having bland accents. Cause he already knows they're not Italians 1:17 This scene is just too good... 8D

  • GROTS I don't think I said it right. Considering I'm part Italian

  • I want to point out that the English version speaks of fake Italian, while the Italian version talking about fake Sicilian...

    WHY?

  • @p4olom4n4 because we cannot change suddenly the language of the film (italian version)!so if the version is italian, film are used to use people with fake sicilian accent, if they couldn't find good sicilian actors!on the contrary, it would be maybe more difficult to make brad pitt talk in sicilian instead of in italian!

  • @alefsk1 I think it's different ... the image of Italians conforms with that of the Sicilians ... when movies are translated into Italian voice actors ... often changed all the text ... to give to the Sicilians the attitudes and stereotypes in the U.S. are attributed to the Italians.

  • @p4olom4n4 tanto valeva parlare in italiano!

  • christoph waltz GREAT actor

  • the italian pronunciation of christoph waltz is outstanding :-O

one of the best I ever heard

  • @darthrigel i'm italian... you're right...

  • Hans Landa is a great character. he's alsways one step ahead and so evil and does everything with perfection. love him

  • Bon-jor-no

  • This was the moment where I KNEW that Christoph Waltz was going to win an Oscar.

  • bravisimo!

  • A RIVER DERCHY

  • A-Rivo-There-Chi

  • Could some Italian write down for me the whole "Italian scene" spelling ? I want to learn it by heart as it goes, but can find proper italian spelling nowhere. I'd be really greatful for that.

  • @c1m47h3l oh i can do that if you want, i'm italian :)

"Signori, questo è un vecchio amico mio, il colonnello Hans Landa delle SS" "Buongiorno" "Signori, è un piacere... Gli amici della vedetta ammirata da tutti noi, questa gemma propria della nostra cultura, saranno naturalmente accolti sotto la mia protezione per tutta la durata del loro soggiorno" "...Grazie" "Gorlomi? Lo pronuncio correttamente?" "Sì... corretto."

  • @shourisaikou Its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Jesse, and Im trying hard to learn Italian. I know the basic, but need some more practice with the grammer and verbs:) too bad my mom past away when i was just a little kid... Thanks for posting these in Italian:) Stammie bene, gracie mille, ciao.

  • @c1m47h3l "Gorlomi? Per cortesia, me lo ripete ancora?" "Mi scusi, come?" "GorlAmi" "Ancora una volta?" "...GorlAmi". "E... Come si chiama lei?" "Antonio Margariti" "Ancora?" "Margariti" "Ancora una volta, ma adesso vorrei proprio sentire la musica delle parole!" "MARGARITI" "E lei?" "Dominick De Cocco" "Come?" "Dominick de Cocco!" "Bravo!" ... "Lasciatemi vedere i vostri biglietti:0023, 0024, non sarà troppo difficile di trovare (awwwkward italian) Arrivederci!" "Arrivederci"

  • @shourisaikou Thank you a lot! :) Now I can practice my "italian" proper way ;]

  • @shourisaikou You said (awwwkward Italian) maybe is asking for too much, dont want to bother... would you be able to let us know the proper way? or just let us know what is incorrect? please...if you dont mind. if you can not, im sorry and its ok :) thanks again.

  • @007Hunkguy you're very welcome Jesse :) mh, let's see: in the sentence "non sarà difficile di trovare" the proposition " di " is actually not necessary. the proper way to say "it shouldn't be hard to find them" is "non sarà difficile trovarLI" (trovar[e] = to find ; -li = them). This is actually a very common mistake for non-italian speakers, i don't know why though :)

Landa calls Bridget "vedetta": i assume it's a literal translation of the french word "vedette", that stands for "star", or

  • Comment removed

  • @c1m47h3l HI, im glad you are learning this beautiful languege.. Im also trying very hard to learn.

  • i'm wondering how is that translated in the movie's italian version :D

  • @Astromash123 i'm italian.... in the italian version i didn't understand because the whole scene is in italian.... so for us this is a normal scene.... not so funny.only in original language we can appreciate it :)

  • @1992marcog and whats more, italian version tranlsation is kinda different, for example they dont say "arrivederci" but "baciamo le mani", dont know why

  • @whattheh3ll maybe to underline that they were talking italian.... :)

  • @whattheh3ll also because it is a clichè now.... :D

  • @whattheh3ll Mi piace molto questo film. I would like to learn more Italian. Thanks for that tip:) sono un amico.

  • HAHA the german has the women symbol of a rank, which indicates the womb XD

  • Brad Pitt's priceless! "Graz-ie." XD

  • This scene is hilarious! Almost as funny as killing Nazis

  • This scene is hilarious! Almost as funny as Nazis dying..

  • ownage when hans says bravo; he is in fact validating "de coco's" attempt at passing for an italian.

  • A RIVER DERCI

  • "Margheriti" and "DeCocco" made the funniest facial/hand expressions when Bridget introduced them. LMAO. I can't get over Margheriti's squint.

  • @poppoya ha ha ha agreed

  • why is there a dislike button?

  • based on their accent, when he asked for the tickets he surely was expecting two pieces of cardboard with "Ticket" written on it with a marker.

  • Goor-lah-meh!!

  • Hammersmark: Nun meine kamera-freunde müssen ihre plätze finden.

    Landa: Not so fast, bitch.

  • Hans Landa. A highly educated german officer. =D

  • Dominic Decocco was supposed to keep his damn mouth shut. But he learned Eye-talian instead. Bravo!

  • haha I'm italian that's very funny cut, "cool" film, "figo" ( or also "fico", pronounced "feego" or "feeko", with a stopped sound in "o"). tarantino rules ciao!

  • Lol, in the Italian version of the film they changed what they say in this scene

  • can any of u spanish speakers understand this italian?

  • @dsciaab12360 of course we can, only stupid people like you cant

  • @redhotcpp stupid people like me?? I know exactly what kind of person you are...... the kind that needs attention so he tries to start arguments and fights over the internet..... get a life you piece of crap, no one needs this

  • @dsciaab12360 I think the same thing about you, because you think spanish speakers cant understand other lenguages, you think you`re better, you need attention, you wanted to start a fight with that comment of yours.

  • @redhotcpp Well maybe I wasn't trying to piss off anyone..... maybe I'm actually just fascinated by other languages, and wanted to know just how similar Spanish is to Italian. But nah I guess I'll take your word for it...... I'm just an asshole trying to start arguments with people cuz I've got nothing better to do

  • @dsciaab12360 well maybe I was a little bit agressive with ya, sorry

  • @redhotcpp it's fine

  • @dsciaab12360 I mean it, really, I just cant stand people underestimating ( im not saying you did ) spanish, latin american speakers like me. you know I really feel bad for my behavior, ( and my terrible english too).

  • @redhotcpp Nah your English is fine... but I dont know why people would think that about Spanish speakers, I think all languages besides English are awesome and not boring haha

  • @dsciaab12360 hehe you`re right

  • @dsciaab12360 Yes, it normally goes like this: Italians can't understand Spanish but Spaniards can understand Italian. Spanish can't understand Portuguese but Portuguese can understand Spanish, and Portuguese can't understand French but French can understand Portuguese.

  • @trapazza That's interesting.... is that because of the tones of the different languages? Like I can see why Italians would have a harder time understanding Spanish speakers because I know a lot of them speak really fast.

  • @dsciaab12360 a little yes

  • lol the end is the funniest

  • perfect scene, Brad and guyes played just awaosome))))

  • Where the FUCK was Brad's Oscar nod in this?!?!?!

  • To be fair, Waltz has admitted in interviews he doesn't actually speak Italian and was taught how to do a faux accent with the Italian lines that he memorized.

However, we cannot forget he actually does speak English, French, and German. Impressive.
