@1fatbastard no actually its not cause the jar isnt air tight but if u make it with a piece of cotton like i recomend it would but its also better to use indoors with cotton cause theres. no odor
Folks, you can use just over the counter rubbing alcohol, don't have to be looking for any specific grade of alcohol. Made em myself when I was a kid and that's been over 40 years.
@MichaelJavert if memory serves, it's the Windows Welcome Music, plays when you are doing the final stage of setup on a windows xp install. I believe the file is called title.wma.
Not really sure the cotton ball wick would be that realiable... nice vid
But personally I would use more dense wick and a real oil even tiki tourch fuel because the alcohol will evaporate really fast, especially isopropyl. Again though, nice vid!
how long will that burn. Seems like your wick would not last very long. might be better you a cotton shoe lace or something. maybe the collar of a old cotton t-shirt. Something denser than a cotton ball.
@zhagray I came out very strong and flame lasted less served me pretty well but how you control the match? in the video is a small flame. It depends on the length of the fuse? muchas gracias.
@gordondebad no if it heats real hot than you quickly touch something cold like an ice cube it cracks a little from thermic shock because the temperature changes so quickly
Well if you make sure the wick is long enough it will reach down to the very bottom, using ALL of the alcohol. So just check to make sure your wick is an adequate length to reach the bottom of the container of alcohol.
Next to nothing, the alcohol inside the jar cant catch on fire because there is not any or nearly any oxygen in the jar! Also yes this is very friendly to the environment because the simple alcohols do not have as much carbon in them as kersosene there for...........less pollution!

What are the chances that this might explode?
Here in our country we use the same equipment, kerosene and a nice piece of cloth. Oh and one thing, is this nature-friendly?
