  • Mesmerizing to say the least.

  • Gaaaaaaah! She's brilliant.

  • Great performance, PJ...

  • awesome one of my favorites

  • awesome one of my favorites

  • Wow I didn't know that Oldham wrote something for her. She's so classy and beautiful in this video.

  • I have not seen her since the early 90's and I always saw her as beautiful, but WOW!!! She is also very attractive.

  • Very nice !

  • Who are the 6 cunts that have no taste in music?

  • Who the F**k was I to never hear this song before?!

    This is brilliant and lovely.

  • *love* god shes amazing. havnt heard this in ages... thanks :: )))

  • Bjork sucks and will never be in the same league as our dear loving PJ....

  • @jcmaybe bjork is just as special AS pj. so is thom yorke. Who has collaborated with both artist. cat power in my emotional conscience is on the same plain as well

  • @jjfeighns i completely agree. they're all on the same plain. you can like or dislike someone but you cannot deny that their talent isnt amazing. i like bjork the least out of them but thats only my personal preference. i still think bjork is incredible. and i think Cat power should get more recognition because Chan Marshall is awesome

  • @jcmaybe I believe PJ would not only disagree with you but would think you were an idiot w/ no taste for saying that. She'd certainly take offense at you calling her "our dear loving PJ" after saying such a thing about one of her close friends and she'd probably feel less talented and sad for having you as a fan.

You don't get to covet PJ and trash her friends.

Just for that comment you deserve to have to sit in time-out listening to coldplay while the rest of us get to listen to Radiohead...

  • this is magnificent!

  • this is awesome. I would love to hear her and Bjork sing this as a duet

  • This is definitely not a duet-able song.

  • and your expertise is...?

  • Shall we change all the lyrics and the entire context of the song " we're some girls"...... so the songs about a threesome now is it!?!?!? Have a clue!

  • let's agree to disagree and move on, dude. Geez, what's your problem? Don't bother responding as I have blocked you.

  • Lol,you did ask me what my "expertise" was ! this is a definitive version of a deeply personal song , Its like one mind speaking, there's no room for a duet. I can sort of imagine if PJ and bjork attempted such a thing it would become a surreal comedy number.

  • @marxman00 bjork and PJ do do a duet! satisfaction! still undecided on that one though. its like theyre too good to do a duet so when you put them together its a bit odd..

  • @marxman00 completely agree on the conversation point, it is like that. haha imagine polly doing a good ole sing along. that would be jokes. although sadly ive only met two other people that like her/heard of her which is insane i mean its Polly Jean harvey- aka legend. (music too seriously? NEVER!!!)

  • She did do a duet with Bjork, just type it in the youTube search box.

  • her mouth has a small head.

sorry, i got here by accident.

  • why can't I download this audio?even lyrics I can not find on the internet :(

  • I don't know much about PollyJ. Am into hiphop, raregroove, reggae and funk/soul. but what I do know is beautiful, lyrical, originality when I see/hear it. This woman makes me feel proud to be English ( for a change!) This tune is awesome; I look forward to discovering more of her back catalogue.... :)

  • :) xxx

  • @alaphize Yeah, she's great. Amazing even, but keep in mind that part of what you hear here is the songwriting mastery of Will Oldham (Bonnie 'prince' Billy, godfather of true indy music). I would recommend you listen to Superwolf. Will Oldham & Matt Sweeney. You can find, "I gave" on you tube.

Give it a few listens, he can be too heavy right off the bat.

And careful with that national pride my friend, it's almost as dangerous as religion...

  • @mjlorange1

Hehe.. Steady on! You'll note my irony re; so called 'national pride' my friend.

Thanks very much for all the info though :)

  • @alaphize you wanna feel proud to be english? listen to Radiohead

  • @Chaziltasm yeah, thanks love, I have done for many years ; )

  • PJ PJ PJ !! PJ RULES !!!

  • This song wasn't written by Polly. I think it's fair to say, it was written FOR her. Can't imagine anyone else pulling this off. Love you forever P.J. KAB.

  • If You feel that way about Polly than what are you doing listening to her songs?

You obviously dont know real talent when you hear it. So why not stick to the likes of Britney or Madonna probably more up your street.

  • That's telling her Peter James Robin...

  • aha keep watching pj videos to try and prove something to yourself. it's pretty easy to see something as mediocre or weak when you don't want to like it. ur just silly!

  • this woman never ceases to amaze me

  • Love It. Love Her.

    Thank God for PJ.

  • Thanks for posting. Excellent music.

  • This song is fantastic.

  • What pretty think!!!

  • Pleaseeee... how can i find this song?

is it a b-side?... any info?..

  • if that's ordinary, then I'd love to go your world and hang out with the humdrum.

  • Is there an MP3 of this?

  • YES!!! 8D

  • I love the screename. How do I get the MP3?

  • Thanks! As for the MP3, I'd found it on Limewire, but that was over a year ago. Now, it's difficult to find anything on Limewire really, except for ultra-popular radio music and porn advertisements. But that could just be because I haven't updated in forever...

  • You can make your own MP3, if you wish.

  • cut her and you will see that she bleeds music

  • beautiful sentence, such a great description of sublimation (in psycha) ! and you're so right

  • i love this

  • amazing singer, amazing song - words just arnt enough!

the way she sings each word, the way the piano is just so hypnotic - love it!

  • I LOVE this

  • Yum Yum ! Srry to spoil the mood, must be said lol Love pj Harvey, Does anybody know when her next Album will be out. Seems like fucking forever since Uh huh her.

  • One of the most beautiful pieces of music I ever heard, I remember watching this on Later October 2001, I've still got it on an old VHS cassette (remember them?). The unrelenting piano/keyboard loop waltzing through the song is beautiful and gets me everytime, thanks for posting this, good old Bonnie Prince Billy!

  • WOW!!

  • great

  • Her and Oldham need to duet. It would be my ultimate eargasm.

  • I'd also like Pj Harvey to do a duet with Linda Perry.

  • oh my god...I'd spontaneously combust if they did a duet!!!

  • What!

  • Yeh, she can only play any instrument she happens to lay her hands on. And the fact that Oldham thinks enough of her to write a song for her says nothing of course... idiot

  • Sorry, but if you can't hear the soul in her "ordinary" voice, then you must be dead. As awesome as it is to hear an instrument that's played with technical skill, there's more that's needed to make beautiful and moving music (and to convey the message intended by the artist).

  • this comment is just absurd..

  • Absolutely incredible!!!

Did u know she's recording a new album soon :D

  • Is this song available on CD?

    Pathos 33
