first of ask the father for the gift and he will give it to you...also not everyone gets the gift the same some will start speaking in tongues when they get it and others just have it...so if you never get the signs more than likely you will already have it when he gives it to you from desiring it and asking him and then just speak it...it is a conversation between the Holy Spirit and the Lord and it is effective! Your way of speaking in tongues is unique and you can't compare it
