Just got back from Newport Beach (4th of July, 2011). What a mistake. Driving was a nightmare. Oblivious people on bikes swerving around cars, cordoned-off streets, cops surrounding the whole area, and absolutely no parking. After about 40 mins I gave up and left.

It's a lot mellower than people think. Were not all cocky rich tools. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of people that do move here and try to act like there the ish, but most people that were born and raised here are pretty laid back. well at least during my 23 years
