  • 4 másodpercet verni a teljes mezőnyre, hihetetlen!!! Óriási úszó, nagyon föl kell kötnie a gatyáját annak, aki ezeket a sikereket meg akarja ismételni :))

  • Thank you, Krisztina!

  • just wanna punch those 3 motherfuckers that managed to press dislike...

  • @zsozso016

    Totally agree with you.

  • Winning by 4 seconds......only Leisel Jones and Mary Meagher can totally dominate a 200m race like that!

  • the BEST female swimmer EVER!! american an DDR-swimmers with dopping couldn't beat her (see Seoul the germans swimmer an Egerszegi). she was the greatest talent in backstroke swimming in the world ever!

  • @tambur728 Perhaps just as impressive was done by Sybil Bauer of the USA who was a backstroke expert in the early to mid 20's. She won the 100 back at the 1924 Games in Paris, and at one time held every world record women could swim. But the most incredible thing was something no other female has ever done to this day: she held a backstroke world record that was faster than the existing men's world record. But I still agree that Egerszegi is one of the best ever women's backstrokers.

  • wow looks like its one of those whop can take the most drugs and not drownd events.

  • @TTURedRaidr Might be true of US and east german swimmers.

Not even her oppponents/adversaries accused her of that, but only

a noob or a total fool could come up with that nonsense.

  • She not used steroid. See the 1988 olympic games , she 14 yo and 40 kg...

  • I love you Kri!!!!

  • Woohoo she went out with a bangggg!!!!Bravo Krisztie!

  • Ő a legnagyobb! Nemcsak sportolóként, hanem emberként is.

    mindenki példaképe lehet.

(sajnos én nem láttam élőben úszni, de így utólag is megható nézni ezeket a felvételeket)

  • The most strong...beautiful swimmer in the world.

the only "clean-cut" at that time.

    G.O.A.T

  • @lazios Very well put!

  • megkönnyeztem... :)

  • To say that she was using drogs is ignorent cos in Atlanta they already had very strict doping controls. If you look at her body thruout her career she was always slimmer than the other swimmers. She was only 15 or something when she won her first olimpic gold medal than she was just skinny like a stick to the contrary to the huge muscular east germans whom clearly were using doping.

It was her incredible technique at that gave her victories. Not to mention all the hard work and dedication.

  • Királynö vagy még mindig!HAJRÁ EGÉR!!!!!

  • and just how many worldclass swimmers has your country produced to give you the right to judge like an expert? Mr Ganja, maybe if you managed to see through the clouds of smoke of your skunk, one day you will recognise the beauty of being happy for others, and not feel so inferior to block others from the support you yourself received at one time...or some of your braincells may not have been able to make sense of the Lisbon Treaty. One may wonder why that is

  • Looking at your moniker I can't stop laughing you bitching about doping, but

i guess an alcoholic irish is the best that little island can produce. These hungarians have a long history of producing world class swimmers, get used to it.

  • @Mrganja187 learn write a proper english you prick!!!!!

  • @Mrganja187

learn write proper english you cunt!!!

  • @Laars28 might have wanted to start with a capitol then cumdump. me im not so bothered not really fond of running my tongue up the queens hole il leave that to ur kind.

  • @redribbons1 lmao

  • What makes her awesome is that she's not 6 foot 5 and 190lbs like the mammoth swimming girls today!

  • I like the bongo-man at the end :D

  • He was a Hungarian actor and a big fan of Hungarian sport. Died in a car accident few years ago...

  • I'm sorry to hear that

  • I just read a lot of terrible things about the east german training methods, and the whole professional sports- in case of doping. There's no forum on the web, which declares that pro sports are clear. Every, even chess - players use something. ?!?

Even so i say that Egér was fair, because i'm hungarian too. (nobody doubt her results in Hun.) But, then we must say the same to Armstrong, Phelps, and so many others....

Respect for the champions, with or without drugs.

  • THE BEST FEMALE SWIMMER EVER!

Perfect style like never before. She was unbeatable and ahead of her time. The fact is that, she was the most talented backstroke swimmer and worked very hard to reach these great results.

And yes, a lot of funny and ignorant people envy her and will, but she does not care about that.

The only woman to win 5 Olympic Gold Medals in individual swimming events. Noone can change that.

  • Comment removed

  • She was a talent! She floated ON the water not IN the water. Her body and bones were special.

  • Stop calling me "my dear" .

Very sad that people today don't believe that such swimmer talent existed, they only can think in terms of drugs... very shallow thinking! I know that she never took drugs. and you can think whatever you want. Truth remains TRUTH!!!

  • Learn english first. I think you were on drugs as you wrote this.

  • Hey, amezspec! You and your mama are on drugs! When that ape fucked her! What the fuck do you know about her? Why don't you grow a brain and fuck yourself.

  • Fck you miserable! She has always been the thinest competitor against the muscular drugsters if that tells you anything.

On the other hand De Bruin was really proven cheating that's what hurts you, sissy. But even Michelle would look down on you, what did YOU achieve in life? Take care!

  • @amrzspec I guess if they filled that pool with whiskey

irleand might have a crack at winning something?LOL

  • @gyozop ideges tetszik lenni?

  • @stogies3 Nem csak határozott. Az ilyeneket helyre kell rakni.

  • Hey adomination01, I think you got it wrong. Back those times when she got professional training things were different than nowadays. U can see a straight improvement throughout her career, and you can't judge her on seconds. One of the reasons why she could win in Seoul 1988 is because the german swimmers didnt count on her, they were overconfident with their routine and drugs of course. And seriously can you really think that someone who is on drugs could look like as she did at age 14?

  • She never took drugs!

  • who are you dear? Are you hungarian?

  • i am nd she never did took drugs.she was just very talented.

  • ..added to this is the introduction of the flip turn which over 200m should improve time by a good 1.5 seconds. So from her 14th birthday til the day she retired she prob only improved by bout 1.5 seconds over 200m....it's a very hard one to believe!

  • although I'm no doctor I think it's safe to say that it's biologically impossible for a young girl to compete with fully grown women pumped up on steroids i.e. the East Germans in this race. Given the 100/200 time mismatch I would say she was given an endurance stimulant. So to conclude:

1988: not clean (altho nobody on the podium was so from that perspective she deserved the gold).

    1992: clean

    1996: clean

But ppl remove ur blinkers, Seoul was no fairytale!

  • The thing is, egerszegi looked pritty unique. When she was 7-8 years old, trainers went to see her. The reason: she layed on the water very different than any other swimmer. To put it simple:: she was more like ON the water than IN the water. So she had to fight much less against the water than other swimmers. She was beaten always by the turns...because she was phisicly lot weaker. But she simply could beat everyone in 200, because she used less streght and needed stamina.

  • Egyszer láttam Őt sétálni a kedvesével a Halász bástyánál kb.98.-ban.Mintha a hugom lett volna.S mit ad Isten?!Ma már szép kis családja van.Persze-persze ,de az a srác még mindig ugyanúgy néz ki.Mázlista.Bár a Bánffy hajszesz.....Respect!!!!

  • One of the many things I never understood why people like you come onto this board telling bad things about a great swimmer you don't even know.

And for your info: she wasn't on drugs, that's why she lost out to Michelle Smith in 1996, who in fact failed at a test one or two years later.

  • looser...10 years on drugs?

  • how dare you???? if u are so well-informed, then please tell us what kind of drugs she used???? coz her rivals looked like MEN with huge muscles and shaved faces :O!! i guess back in those years there wasnt genedoping or some other stuff like nowadays. we need some proof... so smartguy from ireland please clue me/us up. btw i think u are just jealous...

  • Egerszegi was without doubt an excellent swimmer and I do believe (by appearance) that she won here and in Barcelona cleanly. However I wouldnt be so sure about Seoul: she went a 2:09 having just turned 14! By comparison her 100 back time in Seoul was weak (1:01.6) for somebody that could pull off a 2:09. Then when she developed she went a 2:06 (which is a great time), but not that impressive for somebody that could go 2:09 as a child! Like it or not drugs were rampant through the 80s and

  • actually that's the normal...not what's going on today..to improve 3-4 seconds in a year...

in 100 m she was weak beacuse the east german dopping machines could start/turn better because they were much stronger...

And don't forget that Egerszegi retired at age 22 and now she has 3 lovely kids

  • shut up you idiot! you know NOTHING about her!

  • @32ROIHUNSOUT

Have your catholic priest well, hmm errrh...hugged you

    lately?

  • simán verte a népet!a női Phelps!

  • női Phelps? nem tudom honnan vetted a bátorságot ehhez a jelzőhöz..............

  • Shut up! It was her 2 opponents from Eastern Germany in Seoul that were doped. Those were on testosterone, that's a fact. Both Germans had muscles like men.Egerszegi was nothing like that so don't talk non-sense cuz you don't no shit MAJOR LEAGUE ASSHOLE

  • Yes that's what you are:D

  • you are talking about michelle smith

take a look at "Krisztina Egerszegi Seul 1988 200 back", wait till the end

  • That is truth: SHE always makes me proud being HUNGARIAN:)

Kicsi Egér, zokogva nézem a videóid!

    Köszönet minden egyes pillanatért!

    N.

  • Why did they even hold this event!? To win a 200 by OVER 4 seconds, is obscene. What an absolute superstar, she is absolutley superhuman. She and DAwn Fraser the two greatest female swimmers ever (honourable mention to Janet evans and Mary T meagher)

  • è bella!
