Unfortunately while that is fun and all, the buying public are a discerning bunch and, no doubt whilst wanting to support a charitable effort, they wont want to buy something that is purposefully bad - unless perhaps it went to an extreme. I dont think these lyrics hit that spot, they are just... bad. Not hilariously bad, just uninteresting and clichéd bad with not a lot going for them in any way.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong but I'll be stunned if this ends up number one, the melody and production are going to have to be killer.. but even then there is no LYRICAL HOOK i.e Umbrella, Supernova, Toxic, She-Wolf... etc these are all interesting slants on a topic... whereas this pile of poorly concocted lyrics are as dull as ditchwater. As someone who is in the industry, my advice is to QUICKLY SCRAP THESE AND START AGAIN!

Yeah, your entitled to your own opinion but I think people may have misinterpreted this a bit (either that or its just me). They are doing this is 9/8 weeks. So I think, logically, this isn't the "full composition", hence this is called "melody" week. Only one person is going to send something in, and likelihood is that there's going to be a band. So really, the one that sounds the best will be performed by whoever makes the band. That's why I'm not bothered if mine sounds "ballad-y".

yea other people say watch mine about once or twice, you say it every time your on, anyway it is fun watching a video grow, but not if you advertise it to the same people, let people come to your video, dont force ppl to watch it

when he said all weekend, i got a bit freaked out cos i wanted to add one, but make it good and i didnt think ill be able to make a melody that quick, yet i did anyway, lol anyhoo, i dont fully get the point of the song in the words but i think the words fit together just smashing. :D yay

Honestly it's not very clear...the only hint you give as to a deadline is 'we'll be looking at melodies over the weekend'.
I only ask because I think this is a wonderful idea and has got me really inspired to come up with some music worthy of the number1 spot! I just hope I'd have at least a couple more days to do it, I only found out about this whole thing yesterday!!

i think it would be cool if a guy sung the majority of the song but a girl had a few parts/responses or just a back up vocal
a lot of people are doing a guitar slow melody but i think to make a hit it needs to be more upbeat....i can see this song being like fascination by alphabeat or 10000 nights of thunder, just fun and passionate, and since its a love song it has to make the listeners smile

I think that maybe they should sing the top two(?) melodies, because the tune might work with one artist's style, but maybe not another.
And, hearing the song with the chartjacker's band would obviously be different, because they have their unique style and vocal sound.

I'm finding it hard to compete with IAmTheBookie and SamBiggsMusic because not only are they fantastic musicians, they've already got a head start in subscribers while i've started with only 2 (and the 1 subscriber i have told me to go on youtube and he actually watches my vids. the other subscriber just subscriber for his fame). But I feel honoured to be battling it out with them - its like a battle between a peasant and 2 knights, but the peasant is proving to be awkward xD
