its a shame this scene is unaccurate. Actually a group of several policemen and a sheriff cornered him in a dark room and shot him to death. I wish that's what happened in this movie, but i guess this way is more dramatic
This scene always chokes me up-- shimmering water in the middle of the desert, the look on Slim's face and the woman crying as she smiles. Sam Peckinpah was so far ahead of his time. I wish he were born for our generation, so that Hollywood could have some artistic integrity. But no, we remake Conan the Barbarian and Arthur among countless other works of art dragged through the mud by hacks. Goddamn our boorish Hollywood. Goddamn it to hell.
I'm so in love with this movie.God,..Katy Jurado was great here as was Slim Pickins, who is the older man who is shot. His wife is crying fir him.Such a fine movie!!
@aerdna70 thankful to the roman empire because ? O yea, the roman empire sent us the Sopranos :-) Yea, it is a good show :-) sorry i called you an idiot, not nice of me...
I just don't understand why so many folks say the song doesn't fit. I can't see why it doesn't fit... I think it's a great, epic scene in history of motion pictures with an epic, suitable song.
