  • It´s not true bypass

  • ...Does anyone else HATE dials which can only be accessed by taking the pedal apart?

  • Wow, I've never heard that Stone Temple Pilots song from the intro until now, but I just had to look it up after hearing it. Thanks for giving me awesome new music PGS!

  • Calling all in transit...

  • in an "emergency" live setting, would a Pork Loin cover RAT territory ?

  • @indieclock Fat Sandwich?

  • I actually think i like this over the green rhino. To me the rhino sounds like a screamer with more knobs, but this has its own character.

  • Which would work best as a gain boost for a distortion/fuzz pedal like a Big Muff Pi or BC108 Sunface?

    Pork Loin or Angry Troll?

    Or something else?

  • We demand the "Way Huge Ultra Juicy Fatty Steak". It will be an overdrive/fuzz/chorus/univibe/flanger/delay of such a level that every note is inaudible. Every note played shall sound as though a million beginner guitar players got together and did not tune their guitars and butchered Smoke on the Water and Iron Man, AT THE SAME TIME.

  • dear andy, would it be possible to turn the gain off on this and run it with another distortion pedal but keep the clip injection on. so keep the clean injection on but us another distortion.

  • @GoHabs13 No, it would just act as a clean boost to the other distortion pedal i.e. adding more dbs of gain.

  • Had this pedal for a few months now, does a great job of pushing your clean signal through the crunch without any cheese factor.

  • what's the song at 3:20 ?

  • STONE TEMPLE PILOTS!!!

  • is this essientially a green rhino with a preamp feature.

  • Next Way Huge pedal is going to have a great name too I hope lol ,, The Way Huge Over encumbered Hamburger ''

  • Those are some complex tones.

  • Sounds so very very good, but what a lot of electronics inside! Remember the original Fuzz Face? It had around 10 componenents. This has hundreds. Sure sounds cool though.

  • Which song at 3:19?

  • @spatescroll i think it is own rift

  • does anyone know what song he's playing from 3:19 to 3:30? it sounds so familiar...

  • this guy kicks jason spencers ass

  • mahn pork loin is pretty good with high ends

  • Yup, I'm glad I got an OCD instead. But, this is cool..

  • CARS!

  • First song is trippin in a whole papaer hear by Stone Temple pilots

  • sick STP intro Andy

  • Extra points for Radio Free Europe, Andy!! First time I've heard that one in a gear demo!!

  • inside trim adjust the tone of the clean preamps in what way? peace

  • Can anyone tell me what the differnce between the pork pie and pork loin are? would be MUCH appreciated :)

  • @timfender0740

Pork Pie is the new name of pork Loin Thats all ;)

  • I bought the Swollen Pickle today. This is next on the list.

  • Tripping on a Hole

  • The Pork Loin sounds fantastic with bass since it also allows clean signal for clarity. Ordered mine today and can't wait until it arrives. It'll be at home on my pedalboard.

  • Nice bit of Stone Temple Pilots there

  • Are the pork loin, the fat sandwich, and the swollen pickle all different varieties of distortion with certain added features to fit each particular one? what is the major difference between the three? sorry if this sounds noob, just trying to get the basic idea of these pedals

  • @dashfront21 More or less the right idea.. Think of the Pork Loin as an overdrive, Fat Sandwich as a distortion and Swollen Pickle a fuzz. Thanks,

    -PGS

  • @dashfront21

don't forget about the green rhino

  • STP FTW

  • the riff played at 3:19 is bad ass

    kudos

  • Does any one know if the riff at 3:19 is actually a song?

    It sounds familiar

  • @teenapath1234 The intro sounds like a Bloc Party song, but I can't remember which, but then the rest of his riff not sure

  • Does this pedal color your tone at all? Or does it just over drive your amp's front end?

  • @corganb it colors the tone

  • @corganb It colors it. It really warms up and livens an amp. I have it on often when Im playing clean with the od turned down to add some warmth to some amps, as you can hear at 2:28 Love this pedal

  • "Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart" Damn Andy......what an intro riff..

  • probably gonna pick one of these up soon. i'm diggin the smooth midrange-midrange boosted tone.

  • I love this pedal. But I can hardly see where are the "curve" and "clean" knobs pointing at.

  • This guy can really play and gives the best reviews

  • Man, this pedal sounds sexy...

  • I notice somebody loves STP, I heard Sex Type Thing in another review you guys did recently.

  • whats the song at 3:26

  • I'm not dead and I'm not for sale

  • Does this pedal sound good with delay?

  • @bugeyepatv Yes. Joe Bonamassa uses this thing, he uses alot of delay.

  • @bugeyepatv I have this pedal and often use it with delay and it sounds very good. For now, I am using humbuckers. One thing that is interesting is that regardless of how much "clean" you have dialed in on the pedal, it only repeats the overdriven signal. So you can be playing something where your original signal is very clean, but have your overdrive at about 12 o'clock, and it will only repeat your overdriven signal. Kind of hard to explain so let me know if you have questions.

  • what's the song at 3:26?

  • How does this stand up to, say, a Sparkle Drive? Taking cost into consideration as well.

  • andy your reviews are amazing dude im getting this pedal for sureeee!

  • oh man, radio free europe

  • What was the first song he played?

  • @FlipperBabies470 Not sure of the name of it but it's from the Stone Temple Pilots.

  • AWESOME TRIPPIN ON A HOLE!

  • just wanted to compliment Andy once again for choosing just the right song to illustrate his points, it's awe-inspiring.

  • Love the pedal - love the concept.Like the GrooveTubes amp with the mixable channels.

  • how come there are two products "pork loin" and "pork pie" by way huge. they look identical to me just with a different name

  • The pork pie has a different tone than the pork loin maybe?

  • How is it for a mid boost like a TS pedal?

  • pretty good. the drive sounds muddy and wimpy past noon. if you turn the clean off, the curve up all the way, tone at about 2:00, and the drive at like 10:30 its like a ts pedal. that is axctually the stting i like on this pedal. it can be very muddy. if you want a ts style pedal i wouldn't really get this, there are much better.

  • this pedal is obviously the most versatile, i wanted the swollen pickle fuzz reissue for a long time, but i need the soft clip injection

  • i wish they put thoes trim pot on top or on the side :(

  • sounds too rock n roll..

  • is that a bad thing?

  • wtf

  • Good one Andy \m/

  • this sucks way huge cock

  • what's the name of the first song?

  • I think it's from, Not An Addict by K's Choice

  • Nope, it is "Tripping on a Paper Hole" by STP.

  • This guy always picks the best licks for his pedal reviews.

  • It would be nice if somebody could actually comment on/review this product rather than Bull Sh!##g with one another!

  • lol i bought this pedal for 160 think its cheaper now.. anywho have this and ocd overdrive and im more into ocd. sounds ok but too transpearent for what i like. but it sounds alot cooler on this video to me

the knobs just kinda annoyed me anywho selling it for like 90

  • piece of advice, there's gonna come a time, when you realize nobody cares.

  • You do realize that you didn't comment on the product either right? Anyway it sounds to my ear like they're trying to duplicate a small tube amp sound just at the point it starts breaking up.Cool concept but I think I'd look elsewhere.I find this pedal too "mid rangey".

  • I reluctantly tried all these new way huge pedals the other day thinking I was gonna be rolling my eyes the whole time. This sucker's the real deal. I'd highly recommend hearing one in person, nice and loud through a good amp.

    Cheers.

  • Ew! SMD componets...

  • this or tubescreamer for indie?

  • fuzz factory

  • thanks for doing the tests on an somewhat affordable tube amp (Fender Deluxe Reverb) as opposed to the out of reach boutique Amp Soho.

  • What song it the beggining?

  • it's tripping on a hole in a paper heart by stone temple pilots

  • thank you )

  • Wow you really breath new life into those old riffs. Keep it up.

  • STP!!!

  • There's way more components in there than I thought there would be

  • Andy M. & Co. - Great review as always. I watch these videos 50% for the gear & 50% for the killer material you break out in the demos! (I got Tripping On A Hole & Radio Free Europe - one of my favorites - but you got me on the others. Any help anyone?)

    Keep on kicking ass, PGS!

  • Finally they demo this! A great and transparent od

  • what is the song at 3:15??

  • Tasty ;D, excuse the bad pun

  • whats that opening song?

  • Trippin' on a hole in a paper heart by stone temple pilots

  • STP - Awesome!

  • Thats an REM song at around 2.15 right? Just asking..............

  • Radio Free Europe off of Murmor

  • is this pedal banned in Israel, UK yet as not to offend the religious?

There's the "woman" tone, I'd suggest this to be called the "Muhammad" tone

  • It's probably because the components used aren't RoHS compliant.

  • HAHA, funny! I'm actually from Israel and there is an amazing pedal company called PiggyFX, and all of their pedals are named after pigs (Lard, Schweinefleisch, etc).

    P.S

    Schweinefleisch meens pig's meat, I think. :)

  • yay israel, ive been many times, and love it. where do you live?

  • I Live in Hertzelia, Have you been there yet?

  • yes, i was there for one night, with some friends, we went to the marina for dinner. i have family in yavne so i spend most of my time there, but i liked what i saw of herztelia

  • good thing..

    i like this OD...

  • STP - Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart! Love it! Dean Deleo is one of the most underrated guitarists!

  • more way huge rewievs..

  • this thing will give u swine flu

  • ROFLMAO

  • I could really go for some pork loin right now mmmm

  • epic comment

  • @tiddlywinks98712 hahahahaha XD

  • @tiddlywinks98712 it oinked at me :O

  • nice cars

  • Bye Bye Love! Vintage Cars - jeez Andy - quite the repertoire.

  • This one sounds very nice!

  • I like these pedals that Way Huge have put out. They sound incredible. And to top it off they have some of the best names.

  • I like this thing.

  • Way Huge stuff is too expensive though :(

  • Andy is such a smooth guitarist that whenever he plays I swear I can hear the vocals singing along.

  • sounds pretty good

  • radio free europe radio free europe...can't believe you pulled out REM for this one.

  • i got this pedal about 6 months ago. very dissapointing.

  • not what I expected

  • I hear this works great on bass.

  • Comment removed

  • Heck yeah, STP ftw.

  • oh gut shot

  • mmm, i could sure go for a pork loin right now

  • loved this pedal, really.

  • The tone for the opening sounds like a tone that would be really great with a band.

  • It was performed with a band. Stone Temple Pilots to be precise.

  • Cool sounding pedal! The name kicks ass too!

  • trippin on a hole in a paper heart!

  • A little STP, always nice to hear! :D

  • I thought you demod this already? maybe not...

  • Andy has started using some songs over again, which is never a bad thing considering he does a good job making them sound so sweet.
