@newce02.....you and I both. We both came after a pivotal moment in their history (#1 song Hard to Say I'm Sorry; the joining of Bill Champlin; death of Terry Kathy in 1978) sucks but they still kick ass in concert. Jason Scheff does a great job with Cetera's vocals.
I like this is tagged "Rock, 80's". I'm sorry but Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is was 1968 on their first album and Saturday in the Park I THINK is 1975 off of Chicago V. But thanks for posting anyways. Very nostalgic. Takes me back.
I listen to chicago, and read so many comments........ i don't care what anybody has to say, when i listen to chicago their music always makes me happy........
Man, I love Chicago. I've only been able to see them twice unfortunately, but I'm young. I think it's cool that my dad and I saw them together in concert 30 years after he saw them for the first time. I wish I could have seen them with the original cast, but I wasn't born til 5 years after Terry Kath's death. I was a little late to the party. Thanks for the vid :)
I've seen this band probably 2 dozen times since the early 70's. Folks can complain that the modern version of this band is "watered down" but I'd still take a watered down version of Chicago over lots of others band / singers at their so called "best."
I went to college in U.S. back in 72. The first song I heard on the radio was this one. It's one of my favourites since then. Listen to it again, did bring back lots of fond memories.
what a breakdown when they go to slow motion rider......
