I used to think she was a bitch, then I actually tried to find out about her and I think she's just rather shy, and even if she is direct at least she's one of the few people in fashion, or any other field, that's being genuine about what they think.

Therefore, from the beginning she had to be very smart, decisive and hardworking. She had to exceed expectation, be tough, creative and never show too much emotion.
It is a tough world for women to want to make it to the top.

@md991free You know, she does seem nice with a sense of humor and a kind of passion for what she does. Her professional side may be cold or even brutal but it belongs in the world she works in. I'm not one for fashion but I did enjoy the book and movie 'Devil Wears Prada' and it inspired me to look into the supposed real life Miranda. Not what I expected. Of course, I don't work for her so it's easy for me to say that.

I agree she's a very succesful and influential woman inher field (perhaps the best); as a human being, well...that's debatable to say the least. I value her contribution to fashion and even happen to like her style, BUT for such a stylish woman she has HORRIBLE posture! It's a shame for such a well dressed woman to slouch so much! As a result her outfits "hang" horribly on her, it's a disservice to the fab designer frocks she wears :( I'm curious if she has a back problem: does anybody know?

What she said about how fashion reflects the mood of the nation is very well spoken. Just how we represent ourselves through our clothes and hairstyles, our nation does the same as a whole. Look at any part of history, especially 1700s France and Marie Antoinette's fashion choices, and you'll see how fashion reflects on the people.

I just saw a movie about her. I forgot what it was called but it was a documentary that followed her around her job and daily life. It was so funny.
