Use a 1/4" nap so you can even take longer...with a little skill, the thicker nap can work great at times...it depends on more than just rigid one-way-to-do-things training. Maybe he liked the deeper stipple from a thicker nap.
oh woopie! lets all work for the union! I once took the journeyman test because I was looking to work for Bechtel as the paint foreman. I never apprenticed and scored 96% without studying. I answered questions 20 year+ union guys couldn't. It must be their superior training.
@VosikaProject I'm just trying to get the young kids to join a union and get good jobs at good wages. and get good training like you see on "this Old House" tv shows - those guys are union.
@VosikaProject I hate unions but it is a way for the young people to get some good training - just for training though, quit once you get some training. No offense taken - you have a good opinion.

Go join the union and you won't have to watch computer lessons but you will learn your trade at a job site and get apprentice wages.

They offered me the job and Iturned it down...I decided to keep woking for myself at higher wages.
