I understand the principal behind the offer to individuals to join the religious Order. However, can someone inform me why oh why do all orders both male and female impose and Age Discrimination Policy?

Purely and simply it's easier for the young to adjust to the rigours of the religious life,both academic and physical. As we get older the more set in our ways we become and thus the harder it is for the religious life to mould us and help us grow and develop our vocations.
