I dont want to take away the feel-good purpose of this song, but what it doesn't mention it the serious trauma the guy likely came back with. People tend to overlook the effects veterans have to deal with and the problems they face when and if they come back from war. yesterday was the vet program in my school.. and my choir teacher did a suprise homecoming! this girl's brother was over seas in iraq..he ran up to hug her from behind and she had no idea he was there! it was so sweet..i was crying so hard and so was everyone else...i would like to see this happen to more people around america.<3

i love this song when i was going through basic training they play this and letters from home at church and the first times me and my buddies heard those two songs in church we would cry cause yes real men cry go to a basic military church service and you will see for yourself

@sasukesavior no one said you can't be a Christian and cuss, I'm thinking about the way we are perceived when we do... like you said, people said "you can't be a Christian and cuss" it is the job of a Christian to live in such a way that is not only pleasing to the Lord, but calls others to want to be one too... if we live and do as non Christians, what seperates us? nothing. At least to observing eyes. I'm not trying to preach, I just feel its necessary to be aware of how we come off...

wow.... first of all, I love this song, n frankly could care less what errors are in it. what DOES bother me however, is the spirit in which the corrections were taken... I definitely understand being frustrated and annoyed... but all the unnecessary profanities.... I say again, unnecessary... really paint Christians, whether u are or not seeing as the song is done by a Christian artist, in a negative light...

It was uncalled for, to say the least.
I did not mind the spelling errors. Those were the least of my worries.
But to see such foul language at the beginning of a song that 1. Means a lot to me, & 2. Sends a very positive message, I was more than offended.
