What is that "Peek" Feature? I did a recovery on my computer and now I don't have it anymore. I can put the sidebar on taskbar on the bottom to jump to desktop but not "peek" and the hover over an icon on the bottom and leave it for like 1 second, you can see a mini screen, i also don't have that. @cory2146 Probably not since Vista is in service pack 2 and fixed most of the problems that people originally had when they got Vista when it first came out. Windows 7 is built from Windows Vista so it is an incredibly similar OS. Think of it as an update that uses less resources, more stable and contains more useful functions that its predecessor.

Consider yourself lucky because I usually do not answer question like these due to redundant comments that can get overwhelmingly annoying

You know what I hate, all things that remind me of OS X. Like that flowting dock thing you have. OS X almost put me out of business (video and photo), because of crashes and then when it didn't crash it was just the most awkward work flow. That's called RocketDock. It's a freeware dock program. Works like the Mac OS X dock. Can be downloaded for free at rocketdock(dot)com. It's not hard to install the actual software but the default interface wont look like the one in this video. IWEBProductions used a custom theme/icons. There are many add-ons for the software lol.

XP, but it really depends on how good your graphics card is. Games will always perform better in XP. And then they say oh Windows 7 got directx11 while XP only got directx9. Directx11 is supposed to make the graphics look better but apparently it dwindles performance. If you got a really good video card then it will be better to play in Windows 7.

Don't listen to IWEBProductions, he's dead WRONG. Windows 7 has several advantages over XP in terms of gaming, not the least of which is support for DirectX 10 and 11 graphics libraries which XP will NEVER have.

His comment about performance is ridiculous. 7, XP, and VIsta all dedicate maximum resources to a full-screen application (ie: game) so the differences in framerate will be negligible.

He's only right about the hardware, which is the only thing that counts.

Not really, say if I test a good video game on XP which of course uses directx 9 and the same game on windows 7 which uses directx 11, both using a sucky graphics card. You'll noticeably see better frame rate on XP than 7. The fact is that running windows 7 alone uses up more resources than running XP, plus the greater directx technology that 7 uses will also have some degrading effect. However, using a very good graphics card on both, you may not see any noticeable difference.

From a performance point of view, it's still a negligible thing unless you start getting into beefier applications with DX10 and 11 runtime libraries.
