How wonderful !!! So from one Bridget O'Flynn to the others , God Bless each & everyone of you !!! I pray & hope your lives are happy ones !!! xoxoo

  • My name is Bridget O'Flynn.

  • Bridget O'Flynn...Where have ya bin?

    Sorry, couldn't resist :)

  • I have this same song on the VICTOR label. the introduction(where they are talking is VERY soft and cant almost be heard) yours is the same as mine, I wonder why its so hard to understand in the beginnin. I actually have TWO copies of this record on the Victor label and they both are the same.

  • My mothers middle name was Bridget and my grandfather would sing this to her when she was late coming in from playing. They started calling her Flynn and the nickname stuck. When she passed in her sventies many people were suprised her real name was Matilda Bridget.

  • amazing

  • I just lost my father, an Irishmen, last name Dunn, who sang this song to me all the time when I was little. I am so happy to have found that someone knows this song!!!!!! Bridget O'Flynn!!!!!

  • Excellent! Now I know there are at least 2 people in the Western Hemisphere who not only know the song, but have a copy for playing on the Victrola.

The copy I have came from my great grand parents in a collection of disks. No doubt they identified with this and their own immigrant Irish status.

A couple of other classics are, "Don't bring lulu" 1925,and "Heartaches"-Ted Weems Orchestra with the blind Elmo Tanner with the whistle solo.

    Thanks for posting.
