This movie is fantastic, Chloe Grace Moretz was absoloutly great, she had to really work hard for this role and put 120% into it. I recomend it to anyone who loves action, gore and an all round great movie. You know that buzz you get when you watch an AMAZING movie and want to talk about it none stop? they could have made it like the original, it would still have been a movie. But it wouldn't have been as "mainstream" or popular.

It was cliche with the girlfriend, The dad's "story" turned out to be real in the movie, which wasn't too bad. his death also added greatly to the film. The ending was a bit much for me though, the Gatling jet pack...

I hope it has exposed more people to the greatness of comics.

I look forward to the next one :D

I don't know what comic you were reading but actually it was not that faithful to the comic maybe ~70% by weight. The second half of the movie went in a bit of a different direction and parts were changed to make it more "movie-like".

And, yes, it was WAY MORE FAITHFUL to the comics in terms of characters than any superhero movie I've seen in a long time. If you determine a good superhero movie by accuracy to the comics, The Dark Knight was probably 50% faithful (what with all the changes to the Joker and the Batmobile, etc.), but it was STILL a great movie. Really good flick. Was pleasantly surprised by the story, it didnt unfold like I thought it would.It is also good to see a film with young people playing the roles as opposed to 30 somethings trying to look young, like the new Nightmare on Elm st flick. I highly recommend Kick Ass!

UH-MAZING. I just saw Kick Ass too and I LOVED IT. I thought it was going to be one of those "hey, let's make fun of superheroes"-kinda movie, but THANK GOD NOT. This movie was not only MAJOR entertainment, but it also reminded me how much I wanted to be a superhero as a kid.

Seriously. Colours, shooting, music, characters, actors, even the plot and the twists on top of the humour were SO WORTH watching. EFF IT, I'LL GO WATCH IT AGAIN! <3

I think the main problem with this movie has been the marketing.

The trailers made it look all spunky and fun. And it definitely was but it was also very dark and very violent.

You watch the original trailers and then it's slammed with an R rating at the end and then all of sudden a lot of your potential crowd is conflicted.

"Shouldn't I take them?"

If they would have targeted an older audience in the TV spots then I think it would have done a lot better than it has.
