This wasn't very helpful and not very scary, either, in my own opinion. The author failed to include any sort of facts and data supporting his/her hypothesis that we are all being brainwashed; I would have liked to have seen any sort of data rather than a jumble of images, sounds, and video clips.

I agree that much of it is subjective. But, what about the possibility of hiding messages in ambient music to deter shoplifting in department stores? Or, product placement? How about flashed logos on TV? Or the Bush Admin using fear to sell us the "War on Terror". Have you ever heard of Video News Releases? Seriously now, all of the research (and this was big business -think CIA and major corporations) concludes that ALL forms of subliminal messaging are ineffective. As far as the Bush administration using fear, that is called propoganda. You're someone who WANTS to belive in this stuff. You're probably a very intelligent person, if you were truly open minded you would still entertain the possibility that all of this is false. Several high profile stuides by many groups, notably research universities have proven that the human subconscious is highly susceptible to subliminal messaging. They tried it all out with harmless things such as flashing messages for soft drinks in cinemas, and after the film the sales for said soft drink were as high as 170% compared to people shown the same piece of film without the advert.

Hey Metallica - the scene from Apocolyspe Now with the helicopters was not a visual subliminal. It was the audible sound of screeching tires on the soundtrack, under the music and other sounds. We interviewed the Academy Award winning sound designer on that film.

I believe YouTube has created a "Reply" key so the author can do just that. Which is my perogative. Its also my right to make a commentary on a social phenomenon which exists in media - like subliminal messages - and use the same technology to illustrate my point - and raise awareness. I've at least admitted to doing so. If that makes me "as bad as they are," so be it! Fight fire with fire.

My goal with the messages at the end of the clip was to illustrate how easy it is to hide stuff. If you saw them, then they obviously weren't "subliminable" as Kannebas calls it. Why don't you try and find the REAL subliminal messages hidden here... Good luck!

This wasn't very helpful and not very scary, either, in my own opinion. The author failed to include any sort of facts and data supporting his/her hypothesis that we are all being brainwashed; I would have liked to have seen any sort of data rather than a jumble of images, sounds, and video clips.
The video itself is very well done; kudos on a great editing job!

If after watching the entire clip - including the end which reads "COMING SOON" - it wasn't obvious this was a trailer - I doubt including "trailer" in the description would make any difference. Particularly since the current description states "ARE WE BEING BRAINWASHED?" And you call it my "hypothesis".
