I can't believe me eyes and my ears that a small girl like Racel Flowers can play the song Hoe Down incredibly well. I've never heard anyone in this world who can play this song as good as you (except Keith Emerson). I'm a musician too. Would you mind giving me your email address so that we can chat more in future. Here is mine :
I'm pretty sure portions of the synthesizer solo which you fingered in parallel were originally single keys played on the moog with ring modulation or a second oscillator adding the interval. To even think about going the extra mile to sound that on the Hammond with added fingering puts you miles above mere cover artists. And that was just one of several such moments in this rendition.
Rachel, I just discovered your video clips by way of Facebook today, and I am utterly knocked off my feet. In my 56 years I have heard many keyboardists try to do Keith's music, but you are the only one who's absolutely NAILED it. To say I am impressed is an understatement of cosmic proportions. You have my respect & admiration forever and I wish you all happiness & continued success in your very charmed life! Peace...
Wow -- Just came across Rachel's videos. Never heard anyone cover ELP quite like her! What a truly gifted musician. Thanks for sharing her videos with us!
Outstanding! This is quite amazing. I am a BIG Keith Emerson fan and now a fan of yours. I have watched your videos and enjoy them very much. Keep up the good work!
Rachel Flowers? Rachel blossoms! Rachel blooms! Rachel spectacularly bursts forth at an incredible rate of progress. You were awe-inspiring to start with, but you just get better and better. This and your superb recording of Tarkus leave me (and, I suspect, everyone else) stunned. And thanks, too, for revisiting the sadly neglected Five Bridges suite and Hang On To A Dream. As I said before, you make the future golden. "Thank you" is an inadequate response. I take my hat off to you.
This girl has incredible talent, how many 16 yr. olds listen to ELP and are able to learn it and perform it just by ear. Keith E. look out ! She may have your job soon.
Just found ya ......AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME.......SOMEBODY GIVE THAT GIRL A MOOG!!!!
