i just hope that someday, somebody will upload a vid of sherry singing songs from lodoss during the 90s. unfortunately, no one has a vid of maaya sakamoto singing kiseki no umi during the 90s; maaya's performance of kiseki no umi wasn't as good as in the 90s, but i still enjoy those 2 performances in the 2000s featuring kiseki no umi. lodoss was a show with great artists such as izumi kato(sherry), kanno yoko, and maaya sakamoto.
no matter how much ppl remake these oldies for better graphics(such as dvds/HD), their origional taste(origin & hits) are from the classical ages of the 70s/80s/90s. fans of oldies are hard to find these days. sadly, not alot of classic songs like this 1 are being recorded(concerts) and upload onto youtube. just being able to find this vid without seeing izumi kato(sherry) singing it, kind of put me down.
Note how Parn is always in his armor... while Deedlit is wearing this skimpy dress... methinks she's trying to tell him something and he's not getting it.
Ah damn.....that takes me back.....Cant believe I lost all these sound track files to the annals of time. I remember it took me forever to find the version of this song in english.......sigh what a waste.
A good chance to learn Japanese. Why not? :) Imagine how nice it would be to watch everything in the original, not lame dubs. It's hard work, but it's possible. Just do it.
Lame dubs? excuse me but Record of Lodoss War is not a lame dub. You may like to spend your time reading text at the bottom of the screen, but i much like to watch the actual animation and the show. Im english, not japanese, so i watch anime in english.
@BaggysAnime But if u only watch dubbed u can't compare whit its original, most of the dubs ut dialogs where is only silence or has been censored, thats why is lame, very lame. Just watch the original version so u can compare
Not only is it hard work learning Japanese, it's close to impossible if you are never properly immersed in the language, which anime will not give you. The reason why the romance languages are so popular in the US is because immersion in one of them is often as close as the next foreigner's family. That is not true for Japanese.
@JohnWestMinor nothing is impossible if you really try. I started learning Japanese in January by myself and I have Japanese friends who are helping me. It will take me another year before I'll be able to watch an anime without subs, but I'm already starting to catch some sentences. If you can't be in Japan, you can always watch Japanese movies, anime, listen to Japanese music, etc. That's how I learned English after all!
1:59 I've had this in my head and had no clue where it was from!

@SeracRavel This isn't the 90s anymore, they make plenty of good dubs now. Some are even better than the original, i.e. Baccano
EdwardTheMagnificent 6 months ago
@SeracRavel Some dubs are better than others. Never use a blanket term for anything. It tags you as a mindless fanbrat.
