Saw him in the early 2000's and Scotiabank was packed. I think he came once since then but without the E Street. That probably has alot to do with the ticket sales. No harm in wishing though.
If you got girlfriend or boyfriend give him/her a great kiss when you heard Surprise, Surprise.......He/She will be your forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruce is always great. But that is the most inane Springsteen song of all time. At least the Swedes could mermorize most the lyrics... surprise... surprise... surprise.... snooze...
I though the same thing at first, but after a few times, it really grows on you. The 12 string that Bruce plays gives it a Byrds flair! Of all of the songs, I was singing Surprise, Surprise as I walked home from the concert and the days to follow. It was infectious.
I think you're right. It is infectious, I suppose we should just let Bruce have some fun sometimes, rather than insisting that he be "profound" all the time. Thanks!
...bangledesh, mexico, russia, south africa. yeah hes missing out on a big market. The stones have learned really well how to tap the worldwide market. Thats why they made four hundred eighty something million on their last tour.
In an interview at the Superbowl, Bruce said that he wants to go to more markets. You must start to send emails to his official website to get their attention!
this song makes me happy

There were so many empty seats last time he came to Ottawa, I fear it's gonna take a loooong time before he comes back.
Unfortunately...

Yeah, no harm in wishing!
He played in Ottawa in 2005 for the solo acoustic Devils & Dust tour, and in 2007 for the Magic tour with the E Street Band.
That last show was far to be the success the 2003 show was. Lots of empty seats, weak set list, and just a 2h 15m show.

"just a 2h 15m show."
lol, still beats what most of todays musicians serve up.

Great country! Great people! And their English is probably better than that of many Americans! (And I love IKEA, too, hehe) Rock on!

By the way, the Swedes I met spoke perfect english
(Martin, Gustav, Johan, Tomen & even some 6th graders
on the city bus just to name a few) and they knew
more about the Boss & his lyrics than the typical American.
Also they were very polite. I recommend Stockholm to anyone. (as you know from your other post)
