Saw him in the early 2000's and Scotiabank was packed. I think he came once since then but without the E Street. That probably has alot to do with the ticket sales. No harm in wishing though.

He played in Ottawa in 2005 for the solo acoustic Devils & Dust tour, and in 2007 for the Magic tour with the E Street Band.

That last show was far to be the success the 2003 show was. Lots of empty seats, weak set list, and just a 2h 15m show.

Bruce is always great. But that is the most inane Springsteen song of all time. At least the Swedes could mermorize most the lyrics... surprise... surprise... surprise.... snooze...

I though the same thing at first, but after a few times, it really grows on you. The 12 string that Bruce plays gives it a Byrds flair! Of all of the songs, I was singing Surprise, Surprise as I walked home from the concert and the days to follow. It was infectious.

By the way, the Swedes I met spoke perfect english

(Martin, Gustav, Johan, Tomen & even some 6th graders

on the city bus just to name a few) and they knew

more about the Boss & his lyrics than the typical American.

Also they were very polite. I recommend Stockholm to anyone. (as you know from your other post)
