well to help out wit the whole tattoo thing, it was old testament that getting a tattoo, well piercing skin in any sort, was forbidden because at the time, the airborne level of sickness was high, so if you woul cut yourslef, or get tattoos or whatever, you can easily get sick at the time. but to me, if you're a christian, and you continue to get tattoos, then its not right. how can you serve your purpose as a christian witnessing to someone w/ them knowing that you willingly marked your body
a church its not the building but the people in it. so a church could be anywere we just have to be at least 2 we can be anywere to worship and love jesus god together

My favorite song by my favorite band. I have seen them in concert several times and am always blown away by how much enrgy they bring. More than even ST and any other secular band I used to follow (when I was still lost in sin). Not only is DISCIPLE the best Christian metal band for music sake alone, they also bring more heart and Scripture than most every other in the field. Keep bringing it Kevin! Great is your reward!
My only question is "Why?" If it's about being cool then it's of the world. It can't be about being an individual because just about every musician, gang member, WWF wrestler, NASCAR driver, etc has them. Everyone has to decide for themself. They also taught an eye for an eye & a tooth for a tooth then too, but they had to change it later to turn the other cheek, bc people in the later days tried to use that as an excuse to get people back for things.

How do you know that the Bible wasn't talking about not doing drugs, or something like that...that is more destructive than getting a tattoo. Why not get a tattoo of Jesus, I see a problem with worldly tattoo's, because they can promote/glorify sin, but I was going to get my favorite Bible verse tattooed on my arm.
I think if He wanted you to have a tatoo He would have put it on you. Let your actions tell people you believe. God has never branded people to show everyone else they were believers. He doesn't work that way. He knows your heart. Just walk the walk, man. When people ask you why you do what you do you can talk with them. That'll say more then any tatoo can do. Plus, it won't turn ugly as you age.
Kevin and Brad both have tattoos on their bodies, but you still edited their early music videos. Tattoos are just as common today as owning the hottest pair of sneakers or updating one's wardrobe every 2 or so months if you're a girl. Jesus never said anything about having a tattoo as being a sin. What the tattoo represents is the important thing.
1. Those guys had tatoos long before I met them. Kevin once told me he discourages kids from getting inked. Maybe he's changed his mind. I don't know. I can't speak for him.
2. About fashion I ask, what about being humble? Designer names & hot sneakers won't put your name in the Book of Life.
3. I agree, I've never read that Jesus said tatoos (or piercings) are sinful. But your body is a temple. A body with no ink shows that you're respecting the temple He gave you. Keep it healthy & clean.
Christianity is in fact a religion. However, it is not Christianity that will save you. It is only by God's Son, Jesus Christ that we are saved. It's ok to have "religion", and I mean good and just religion, which teaches us to be good and Godly people. That is what Religion is guys, and the Bible even speaks about it. the world knows that it is a religion. Why hide it? Just show them that it is something much different than their view of "religion".

I think "religion" is a term we can all use to identify a group of people that worship a god.Some peoples "religion" is science fiction.Others worship fashion & jewlery.There are extemist as well as casual observers in all religions.I don't care for organized religion because it usually involves power, money & sex. Is THAT WJWD? The bigger the organization the more money, power involved. I don't need TV, radio, DVD's,jumbotrons, megachurches & satellite dishes to commune with God.
Did you ever see the original trio in concert? Kevin used to do a fair amount of preaching before he asked if anyone wanted to except Christ as their savior.
They're not a Christian band. Music is for everyone. They do however preach and glorify God and that is just God using music to send a message. Of course if you're a Christian it's going to affect the drive for you making music. Christianity is not a genre, it's a lifestyle.
Having just read some of the comments below, I must say something. I met Disciple after one of their shows b4 Brad and Joey left the band. I was talking to Joey about how a lot of my friends say metal can't be christian. He said, "Metal is metal, no matter how you look at it. The lyrics are what make it christian." That made me realize that despite metals association with satan, it can hold a positive message, which bands like Disciple, Skillet, Pillar, and As i Lay Dying have shown us.

No offense taken by me. I see you're 19. As you age & mature you'll find the world is full of strange & interesting people. Many chose to use drugs, or murder or even molesting children for answers. Would you say they made bad choices? A wise man would advise against those choices. Even a non believer can find a wealth of time tested wisdom in the Bible. I believe it's important to NOT force your beliefs on others or persecute others for theirs as long as no one gets hurt physically.

Very well. I have to admit they know how to play the guitar and drums. I wonder why they are always singing about religion. Don't get me wrong:I would also hate if they were singing about Satan all the time. These things should not be in music(at least not all the time). I cant understand why do you like Disciple so much. They want to spread the word of God. Song is one of the oldest forms of communication ever. Plus, the Bible says God wants you to praise Him with song. Personally, I enjoy Disciple's music & the beat. The words are actually secondary to me. I like them because I know them personally. They're a great bunch of guys. Believe me, they don't hate non Christians. Metal is the music of their generation. It's a tool they use to talk to other young people. Kevin plays piano & sings in his church choir.

THANKS SO MUCH for putting this video up. I had never seen this music video before, but knew it existed. I heard two of the guys body slam into each other some point in the video, so I was interested in checking that out LOL.
Glad you enjoyed it. I hope posting it helps the band. The project got completed then was kinda put on the back burner. I spend quite a bit of time on the road & in the studio with them while they were still with Rugged Records. I was always amazed at the impact they had on their fans. They're a fun, bunch of talented guys.

I'm neither perfect nor home schooled but I can recognize your syntax error (Tell you mother). I'll extrapolate Mom's wisdom to it's base level. If you don't know what you're talking about, shut your big yap. Wisdom usually comes with age but you have to be mature enough to appreciate it. Listen proxylady, we could throw jabs at each but that proves nothing. Before this gets personal or rude, how about just agree that we disagree. OK? I WILL remove any foul language or ugly attitude.

hey look ladey, just cause were christian doesnt mean that were "uninformed" or "little people." id say you should leave it alone and enjoy the music, im not saying were perfect. your whole premarital sex comment is not compleatly true or false. we all make mistakes, im not afraid to admit mine. ive done stupid things, but when my freind showed me god i was chamged, and i relized theirs no reason to be imature and start a fight with people i disagree with. so lets just relax. ok.

I think if He wanted you to have a tatoo He would have put it on you. Let your actions tell people you believe. God has never branded people to show everyone else they were believers. He doesn't work that way. He knows your heart. Just walk the walk, man. When people ask you why you do what you do you can talk with them. That'll say more then any tatoo can do. Plus, it won't turn ugly as you age.

Kevin and Brad both have tattoos on their bodies, but you still edited their early music videos. Tattoos are just as common today as owning the hottest pair of sneakers or updating one's wardrobe every 2 or so months if you're a girl. Jesus never said anything about having a tattoo as being a sin. What the tattoo represents is the important thing.

1. Those guys had tatoos long before I met them. Kevin once told me he discourages kids from getting inked. Maybe he's changed his mind. I don't know. I can't speak for him.
2. About fashion I ask, what about being humble? Designer names & hot sneakers won't put your name in the Book of Life.
3. I agree, I've never read that Jesus said tatoos (or piercings) are sinful. But your body is a temple. A body with no ink shows that you're respecting the temple He gave you. Keep it healthy & clean.

Christianity is in fact a religion. However, it is not Christianity that will save you. It is only by God's Son, Jesus Christ that we are saved. It's ok to have "religion", and I mean good and just religion, which teaches us to be good and Godly people. That is what Religion is guys, and the Bible even speaks about it. the world knows that it is a religion. Why hide it? Just show them that it is something much different than their view of "religion".

I think "religion" is a term we can all use to identify a group of people that worship a god.Some peoples "religion" is science fiction.Others worship fashion & jewlery.There are extemist as well as casual observers in all religions.I don't care for organized religion because it usually involves power, money & sex. Is THAT WJWD? The bigger the organization the more money, power involved. I don't need TV, radio, DVD's,jumbotrons, megachurches & satellite dishes to commune with God.

They're not a Christian band. Music is for everyone. They do however preach and glorify God and that is just God using music to send a message. Of course if you're a Christian it's going to affect the drive for you making music. Christianity is not a genre, it's a lifestyle.

Having just read some of the comments below, I must say something. I met Disciple after one of their shows b4 Brad and Joey left the band. I was talking to Joey about how a lot of my friends say metal can't be christian. He said, "Metal is metal, no matter how you look at it. The lyrics are what make it christian." That made me realize that despite metals association with satan, it can hold a positive message, which bands like Disciple, Skillet, Pillar, and As i Lay Dying have shown us.

No offense taken by me. I see you're 19. As you age & mature you'll find the world is full of strange & interesting people. Many chose to use drugs, or murder or even molesting children for answers. Would you say they made bad choices? A wise man would advise against those choices. Even a non believer can find a wealth of time tested wisdom in the Bible. I believe it's important to NOT force your beliefs on others or persecute others for theirs as long as no one gets hurt physically.

Very well. I have to admit they know how to play the guitar and drums. I wonder why they are always singing about religion. Don't get me wrong:I would also hate if they were singing about Satan all the time. These things should not be in music(at least not all the time). I cant understand why do you like Disciple so much. In a way they are asking of you to hate all those who don't believe in Jesus. Metal should be a kind of rebellion against all types of repression.

They want to spread the word of God. Song is one of the oldest forms of communication ever. Plus, the Bible says God wants you to praise Him with song. Personally, I enjoy Disciple's music & the beat. The words are actually secondary to me. I like them because I know them personally. They're a great bunch of guys. Believe me, they don't hate non Christians. Metal is the music of their generation. It's a tool they use to talk to other young people. Kevin plays piano & sings in his church choir.

Glad you enjoyed it. I hope posting it helps the band. The project got completed then was kinda put on the back burner. I spend quite a bit of time on the road & in the studio with them while they were still with Rugged Records. I was always amazed at the impact they had on their fans. They're a fun, bunch of talented guys.
