Socialism always runs out of other peoples money, it believes that someone else spending someone else's money on someone else is best. Well, you have to remember that China is a "yoked" capitalism, basically while they were a pure communist country there were very poor. Once they discovered how to use capitalism to their own ends, they flourished. However, all of this capitalism must serve the state, and free speech is squashed. This is kind of what Obama wants here. A heavily yoked capitalism for wealth spreading, with no tolerance for anti-Obama speech.

I agree with you. The Cuban embargo was and is a stupid idea. If we had continued trade with Cuba then Castro would be long gone, once the Cubans realized how good capitalism was. Canadians can go to Cuba you know. My brother went on vacation once and he told me the place was frozen in time. Like there has been no progress in anything in the last 50 years.

Every president since FDR, arguably the first guy to think "Never let a good crisis to go waste" has expanded the size of govt in some way, yes even Reagan. Cuba should have been allowed to trade with us since Castro revolted, that would have taken him down way faster. And forcing companies to sell rice below cost leads to only one thing: no rice.
