My marching band still plays this. A lot. We play it about 6-7 times (most likely exaggerated) per football game. And when we go into playoffs, it's part of our halftime playoff show.

As a band director who has been involved in music for almost 40 years now, there is not another pep band song ever written or arranged better than Bill Moffit's The Horse...lots of memories brought back with this vid...THX!!!

I was in my HS band from '91-'95. Our band director stuck to a 70's marching band collection produced by a former student...and "The Horse" was one of those songs. What pleased me more was when we played Horse for the first time and my mother remembered it from her time at the same high school. It was her favorite...almost 20 years later and she recognized it. That should say something!
