  • Terrible drummer.

  • Buddy seems to be playing the hi-hats on all 4 instead of the maybe usual 2 with 4 on the bass, but who am i to question the greatest drummer of all time.

  • haha i love the little fill Buddy uses between 0:13 to 0:15

    classic Buddy Rich!

  • go TOM (Garling) !

  • Written by Bill Potts. Ray Starling played the piano solo on the original recording (1967 I think)

  • Oh yeah.

  • Great!!

  • Typical hard-swingin' Buddy - can't get enough!!!

BTW - Deezer website has a great collection of Rich BB tunes IN STEREO. My playlists are under "dspjazz" there.

  • Bone solo is Tom Garling.

  • @stagebandman not to mention hes 21 in this. im very fortunate to be able to study with him

  • That's Wayne Naus who takes over for Eric Miyashiro. My hunch is that Wayne jumped in as a guest artist/alumni. Eric entered Buddy's band on Dec. of '84 and later Eric referred Greg for the gig. This must be either July or August of '86.

  • why does the lead tp change after the first couple of bars?

did eric have to go home or sth?

  • do you have the version with greg gisbert on it??

  • yes, as i say on the info.read- had to omit it for time reasons

  • Who IS the pianist? It was after Barry Keiner.

  • Pianist is Matt Harris ~

  • I think it was RAY STARLING. He used to be with Stan playing the Mellphonium and also sat in for Stan once in awhile.

  • The best The Best The Best!!!!!!

    E' Il migliore!!!!

  • great swing music , best drummer in the world. r i p, buddy rich,

  • Great stuff...thanks for this.
