@BmCNinJa True, he does. Generally with someone who's sadistic like him, yet still deep down a kind hearted person, it generally means that he doesn't trust much of anyone at all. I think his sister is the only one who understood him and watched out for him, since he doesn't let anyone do anything for him and makes sure to be independent and in charge.

@BmCNinJa He regards them as friends He's only in the Shinsengumi because of Kondo. Though, he does try to upstage Hijikata wanting the vice commander position. He's forever getting back at him because of what he's done to his sister and him in his childhood. That's actually an episode where I think he succeeds in killing Hijikata, but it's non-cannon and is apart of an arc which is a parody of SAW. He also kinda thinks of Gintoki as a friend, but I'm sure he hides stuff from all of them.

@z90OoAluYsioNoO09z Actually if Okita is serious he would have killed Tushiro already, Okitas character is based on the genius swordsman Okita Sōji. If you have watch Samurai X his the little kid during the raid in Kyoto. The way I understand it Okita have this weird respect of Tushiro, because of his sister, I think it's because during the past Tushiro made his sister happy. I could have explain that better, but I suck at and I don't know how.

@BmCNinJa Yep, I know he's loosely based off of Okita Sōji. Eh, true, but most of the eps are non-cannon - In the SAW arc he did indeed kill Hijikata. Toshiro actually refused to be with his sister, even though he loved her, he treated her coldly because he knew his line of work was dangerous and that she'd be devastated if she lost him had they truly been together. Sougo hates him for this, and that he took the attention he got from Kondo and his sister away from him in his youth.
