  • yea so it's alright about bush ruining our country? Obama has to clean up his horrible foreign relations since bush did all he could to make enemies. It's about using your head and boy you repulicans don't do that. All you do is provoke wars. Nixon extending vietnam, bush starting iraq and afghanistan, and reagan giving arms to the middle east and then they use those weapons against our troops. get real.

  • Thank you for your service to this great nation.

  • You sir are not a racist! You are a true hero to this country!!! I get "labeled" as an Uncle Tom because I disagree with Obama. You have the right to disagree. Great video. Jimmy Carter should just keep quiet.

  • I agree in principal with what you are saying.

    4 Things:

    1. I am called Uncle Tom and sellout because I don't agree with Obama. That's life.

    2. I believe the EXTREME RIGHT is the one exacerbating this sentiment "If I don't agree (whites) with Obama, I am a racist". It's pure BS. His policies simply STINK and they come from the DEMOCRATS as a whole. There is no Black or White in it.

  • 3. As far as Joe Wilson goes, he is no youngster and therefore has some life experience. You don't INTENTIONALLY throw a ball to hit someone and then say sorry. If so, he is either a coward or stupid.

    4. I believe he did it out of racism for NO ONE IN recorded History has ever disrespected the Office of the Presidency that way during a joint session. And there have been fierce battles over policies. Therefore, with him, his age, his association with Strom, well read between the lines.

  • Doc, you know I am no racist, but I ain't blind to the fact that they exist on BOTH sides of the isle, in all walks of life and in all races.

A respectable and sensible politician would not have done such a thing had there not been something deeper there.

    That's my bit.

  • Great Video. We need to get off race and deal with these screwed up bills / policies.

  • TMOT,,,Thanks Brother...it is what it is...BOTH Sides need to get over this...It just irked me to be considered LABELED a racist because I can"t wholeheartedly agree with what is going on with administration...Thanks for stoppin by...God Bless You My Friend...Yer Buddy...Doc

  • Good video Doc....I do think Jimmy should stay out of this mess..because he is only getting things more amped up and throwing in the race card is insane which there wasn't one before he opened his mouth...

  • You stated your point of view here respectfully and reasonably, and while I don't completely agree with it, I appreciate the civil tone in which you make it, and I will approve this video as a response to mine. If only everyone could observe rules of civility as you did here, we'd all be able to have a much more civilized time reaching agreement on how to run our Country. I thank you for your service, and I salute you as a brother Army veteran!!

  • As long as you practice responsibility in the way you conduct yourself, no serious person will label you as anything other than someone who is serious and responsible. And, again, the fact that you may not agree with President Obama wholeheartedly does not mean in any way that you're automatically a racist. Only foolish people would see it that way. The key is to register your disagreement in a reasonable, responsible manner that doesn't insult anyone. Joe Wilson should have thought of that.

  • You have EVERY right to speak your mind, but at the same time you have an obligation to do so responsibly, being truthful, respectful, and rational. If you don't follow those guidelines, you open yourself to criticism, ridicule, and to others not taking anything you say seriously. You cannot expect others to respect you if part of your beliefs is to be disrespectful to others. It's a two way street, chief.

  • If you for some reason believe that whites are better than any other race, and that they're superior, and you state that openly, you're going to offend a great number of people, and you will have to apologize for it regardless of whether you want to do it or not, because we live in a civilized society where some beliefs are just not acceptable anymore. Joe Wilson may not have been openly racist, but his demeanor and his past history strongly suggest that racism was one of his motivating factors.

  • No offense, but I don't understand why people lack the ability to think critically and to discern objective, factual statements from personal attacks. President Carter did didn't say that ALL the people who disagree are racists. He said that racism drives much of the hysterical, over-the-top opposition, and he's correct. Regarding apologies, you have the obligation to be responsible for what you say, even if it is something you believe in deeply.

  • Thanks for this video. I am also an Army veteran, also a Medic. However, I disagree with your beliefs regarding your implication that the President stands for unlimited abortion, or that our Country is so high and mighty and perfect that it cannot commit mistakes that sometimes hurt others. When that happens, the right thing to do is to apologize and show some humbleness and simpathy, regardless of how very powerful we may be.
