Phrasing is something that is completly lost in players today. which is sad because phrasing is the most important thing on the guitar. Nowadays everyone is just mindlessly wanking off.
i always have trouble trying to play really cool solos that do not sound so generic. i am always so generically in time with the down beats of a song and it sounds soo generic. when i hear other great gutiarists play it sounds so out of place yet still in time if u get what i am saying. i have no idea how to fix this cause i always lose where i am in the song if i try to play like them even while tapping my foot.
Im sure you tried a metronome but keep trying and try to think of the downbeat a beat ahead so youll succeed in not always hitting the downbeat. idk if this will help... but its worth a shot.
hahaha thats a real challenge there's so many different ways to phrase and make melodies. there isn't actually one definite way to do it. its hard translating from brain to guitar. lol
ha looks like it. idk if its the 3000 tho cuz the fret inlays dont look like the albalone. not the 2000 because its bound body/neck and the ebony fretboard. either way, i have the rootbeer al3000 n i love that guitar
I like how awkward this feels at times. It reminds me of me.

@15002twill its the flavor your add to the note =)
MrBenCleaver 1 year ago
@15002twill so picture a scale like an alphabet, picture licks/riffs like words. phrasing is making sentences and paragraphs.
