Focalink DSG, Forte Triple, Hind Bb, 2 Panch prototypes, HaoLunHsu SC, Noble plas. AC, Susato pendant C...

I'm not tiring of the ocarina. But I want to focus on playing the Focalinks as my main instruments, than having a huge selection and not giving each enough attention ^^ (and what a convenient way to get money for ukes while I'm at it)

It does sound a bit airy to me... Like when you have to do the acute bend. is that how all maparams are? It doesnt seem to happen with Focalinks. Am I missing something?

Maparams do need the Acute bend and good breathing technique to play well. Probably more so than Focalinks.

I made this video quite a while ago when the Maparam was fairly new. If I could do this video again with the same ocarina, I imagine it wouldn't sound as airy :-)

Get an inline ocarina, they're much more comfortable. The only advantage of transverse is that they "look cool."

I have both Inline and Transverse ocarinas.

There are more advantages than just "looking cool" in my opinion.

I like both types though

That's a good ocarina to start for its price.

In fact the Tenor you can purchase from STL (they don't actually make the ocarinas) plays the exact same range of notes as the one I used in this video.

Does a double go higher or less than an alto Ocarina? Just wondering.

It depends on what kind of double ocarina you have. If your one is a Double Alto-C ocarina, it has the same range as the Alto C ocarina being used in this video + higher notes. You can play the song.
