See look...you watch the He man review and poor, probably asexual, Adam becomes the proverbial 'butt' of gay jokes, and then you see captain planet, which for my money is probably the gayest character till the ambiguously gay duo arrive, and it attracts only the merest of references, despite the whole 'I better make like the wind...and blow!' line. I think there is a popular perception bias here. I think Captain Planet escapes because theres more of a female prescence than in He man.

I've always guessed that they're downplaying Ma-Ti's power. It's essentially "mind-reading/telekinesis, with mostly animals".

And if there's one thing good about this show, the music is generally good. The intro song was decent, and the Genesis game had a decent boss theme.
