LOL, mini-z's without 2.4 GHz look funny with their long antennas. Reminds me of 8 years ago when I had a long antenna sticking out of my 1/10 scale MTX-3 on the track using JR radio with FM synthesis. The newer mini-z rtr with 2.4 have no antenna sticking out of the body. I agree they are the smoothest 1/27 scale ever. That's why they're worth it.
From what I've seen in one of the local hobby shops, many x-mod owners are trading up to Mini-Z's and leaving the x-mods at home while the Mini-Z's are leaving their x-mods in the dust. However, I don't really care which RC anyone purchases and it simply appears that many don't want the best value or best car, they simply want the cheapest price.

@moviebizman yeah, i did a 2.4 swap into my chassis, its a lot more responsive and no antenna is a plus
