@JAEProductions1 No. The vaults were never meant to do that. They were just underground labs created to do tests while the world burnt from the radiation. For example, super mutants came from Vault 87. It is the only vault in the D.C. area that has a G.E.C.K. The vault was meant to do expirements with the original FEV virus, that mutated the people. Also a fatman exploded at the main entrance. So you can only go through Little Lamplight in a quest.

According to Vault-Tec and Vault 92 data, it was selected for music making. The Overseer however exposed everybody to white noise while they slept. The white noise brought out a savage and violent human nature. So the people probably turned into milurks. I can provide a full Vault stats report through PMs.

U dont need to do ANYTHING in any order. U can do side quests as u wish, no need to do any main quests if u dont want to. Just remember that if u dont have the Broken Steel add-on (or GOTY edition), the game will end after the last main quest, which is called Take It Back!. It begins after the American Dream quest. Dont start it if u still wish to do something else (dont return to the Citadel at the end of the American Dream).

With Broken Steel add-on the game will never end.

I noticed that in the sound testing room there is a door blocked off by some junk that is inaccesible. The fallout wikia says that there is a secret passageway that you can acces from the overseer" office to get to it but I cant!! can you help please???????

You can also notice it when you are outside the door on your local map. there is a door that says overseers office but you cant acces it. any idea how?

@alaxoy Well they wern't overran per se. But after some weird shit started happening in the vaults the inhabitants either died or went crazy. After that, THEN the vaults were overran with raiders, mirelurks, bloatflies etc. But yeah, Vault 101 WAS the calmer vaults.

To get the quest, you have to visit Agatha at Agatha's house (go figure). She will give you the quest "Agatha's song". To complete it, you just need the violin. However if you want the nice Blackhawk (custom .44 scoped magnum) you have to find a piece of sheet music.

no, 101 was built to remain sealed indefinately. most of the other vaults opened soon after the bombs fell. vault 101, for the most part, remained closed for 200 years after the bombs dropped.

Well like all the vaults they were doing tests on the inhabitants. They were using sound as a type of hypnosis and if you read somebodys diary (I can't remember their name) inside the vault it shows that she eventually started feeling funny, and she started to spell words incorrectly. This lead to most of them dying, and in one case a man ripped three people apart and it took 23 bullets to take him down. I'm not sure if the people turned into Mirelurks or just simply died.

i think the only vault 101 is the only 1 what has no experiments cuz 112 there is the tranquility lane,which means the only things that move in that vault are robobrains 87 is ridden with super mutants 92 is breached 106 is filled with psychoactive drugs and 108,108 i dont know about
