@CarnalContessa Well, they like to say that but the mouth is at least as wide as a finger. Stewie sucked on my fingers up to the middle knuckle and my thumb tip but couldn't get past the first knuckle since that's big. Of course he had to hold my finger and line his mouth up then push his mouth down over it.
Where do you buy your anteaters? I have been researching for a few years now, and I think I will be ready to get one in a 1 or 2 years more, and i heard it takes almost a year to normally get one.
What do you use to clean the enclosures with, for example what was in the bottle that emmaleeha tried to play with? how long does it take you to clean every day?
What are those pads at the bottom of the enclosures called, the ones that look like puppy pads? Apologies for all the questions but I love learning about animal husbandry, its fascinating to me.
@ferretnation88 I use white vinegar and water (I buy 10 gallon cans at restaurant supply). It takes me FOREVER to clean Conservatory because I play with ALL the animals (*LOL*); but the breeding compound that houses the Sloth, Tamandua, Kinkajou and Binturong I can get through in 40 minutes (including visually checking each animal for physical health) but I don't play with those animals as it disrupts their breeding cycles.
@CarnalContessa Thanks for the reply. You have a binturong! :o I love bearcats, I don't know of anyone who has one, besides zoos. I look forward to seeing a video of your binturongs one day they are one of my favorites!
@ferretnation88 I normally don't do videos of my animals in the breeding compound. After shooting video of a few of my Siberian Lynx I learned to not show them as the public is oh so VERY negative.
I would like to keep a male Binturong from the next litter and make him a pet and Animal Ambassador, but I need to set up a third pair first as they take 3 years to mature before they breed.
Sadly, in the Pacific Northwest they tend to only breed once a year...
@CarnalContessa Oh I'm sorry if you have gotten negative comments , that is a shame. Obviously you take excellent care of your animals so the negative comments are usually just jealousy. Your Siberian Lynx are gorgeous IMO as are all of your animals.
@CarnalContessa True. They like to think they are knowledgeable because they listen to "experts" who claim to know what's best for these animals without having any real hands on interaction with any of them, but I'll leave it at that and nip this rant in the bud. Please keep doing what you are doing your videos make my day.
@montorelll You my friend are hilarious!! That's a Common Marmoset making that high pitched whistling noise -- he is saying "Hey, come over here and pay attention to me." By the way, Tamarins don't make the same noises as Marmosets (most people think they make the same noises because they are both small monkeys.....)
OMG what a cute silly little guy/girl? I never would have imagined them to be so playful like this...ADORABLE!

@ferretnation88 Eh, I figure it's mostly lack of solid knowledge about the animals in the first place.
