All the friends I play with were all randoms, we ran a few games before i sent a friend request and now they are regular squad members...point is, randoms can turn into good friends if you talk to em.

I actually do this, try to talk to randoms in my squad (I play solo 90% of the time). I try to communicate as much as I can with the randoms in my squad and give them strategies on how to win, commanding them on capturing flags and making sure no one in my squad is laying back and not doing anything

Part of what I love about playing BF by myself is meeting new people, be they a skilled helicopter pilot that hovers in place so you can rack up gunner kills, or that one assault who gives up kills so he can sneak past the enemy and capture that flag on metro way behind enemy lines.

All it takes is a game and a mic and suddenly you're talking as if you've known each other for weeks.

Could not agree more with your sentiment here. however the Complete lack of VOIP in this game makes squading up with randoms much harder. Inf Bf2 days you made friends though great team work Made eaisier by good COMS. Randoms can be just as skilled and Team orriented as Clanners but with texting commands and no voip damn makes it hard work.

This is OP and that needs to be buffed and thats cheap. There's no equal and there never will be because people are not the same. I never do commentaries but I know I could never do a live commentary. I always kind of go like a zombie when I play Battlefield and my mind just blanks. Even when I'm on my headset to my friends. Friend: "Hello?, Hello? Are you even there?" Me: "Sorry I was concentrating, what did you say again?".

Feel ya. Most people don't get the "Battlefield Spirit". I'm far from perfect, but when I play alone, I always join a squad and try to help and support my teammates.

Also, B2K maps are where you find the worst kind of players. Too many snipers only caring about their ratio, RPG noobs who prefer to blow up a building to kill one enemy instead of destroying that thank that's exterminating your squad, etc... Kinda sad.

I am a PS3 owner and play BF3 on PSN (mostly because I can't afford a computer). However, I have played on a friend's computer. PC players are a different breed, it seems to me, much more receptive to random link-ups. PS3 players are not.

Making new friends and networking is a part of humanity..We're losing it...even in gaming. You just gotta maintain a positive attitude, it's tough, but you might make an impact on someone else. I'm always a random, but I'd consider myself pretty good (when I'm not facing really good squads and my team isn't "pulling their weight"). It's not that I don't have friends, it's just that most of my friends don't play this game, we play together on other games, and barely a handful of my friends play BF3, but not on the same system as I do. And now I have decent time put into it and I don't wan't all that go to waist. I'll take this advice though, sending friend invites to teamplayers :)
