Isn't this the Japanese one that Silver-Seiko built for Olympia? I have the SKE Report Electric, built in 1970 in Germany, and it weighs a ton. If yours says it was made in Japan on the back it's a Silver-Seiko.
The weakest link on all these electric portables is the electric carriage return, if it has one. It's why when Smith-Corona modified their portable electric for office work in the sixties, they completely redesigned and beefed up the return. It tends to be the first thing to go out.
@johnrk556 On both this machine and the other one I've worked on, the return system either would jam at some point on it's way to the right, or the system would jam itself at one end and refuse to move the paper up a line. I'm still unsure of exactly what causes this problem, but the issue is intermittent as of yet.
@ForgetfulCollector it all has to do with audience,, just like an auction, u can have an valuable baseball card or coin, BUT, if there is no baseball card or coin enthusiates present, then, those items will go for next to nothing, IF they even sell at all! LOL

Now that's a very nice machine - I began typing on a very similar Olympia machine. Great condition, usually they are thrashed!

This one was in there for ages, and I'm surprised no one bought this beaut.
