dude ive got sum reli different chords for this song but yours are sound enuf for the most part. ur missing the little plucky bit at the end of the main chord sequence.
Hahahaha I LOOOVE this song... I play piano by ear and always wished I had awesome skillz on guitar too... So I got a guitar now and I've been playing it for a couple days now... What better song to learn than this? :D
I was actually in guitar class when my friend started playing this song and I blurted out, "In the marmelade forest.. Between the make-believe trees..(ect)" and that was a big laugh so now I wanna learn to play and sing along >:D
For that last chord, you can just lay your index finger along the last 3 strings on fret 5, and just use your pinkey to get the first string on fret 8. You don't need to use three fingers.
I'm glad you posted this, but your terminology was mostly incorrect so you may be making lots of newbies even less competent. For example, you said don't touch the top three strings - they're actually the bottom three-most strings due to their pitch. I do, however, think that this is an awesome song so well done. I look foward to learning this.
You might not realize it but the chord progression sounds like it's basically the same for Madness "Out House". C, Gm, Dm, Fm. In this case they've added Cmaj7 after C.
In fret numbers that's: 335553, X35453, 355333, 557765, 1331111
