Its a counter to the brutality. Med2 total war is an appalling game of brutality and religious intolerance, and in this modern era such things should be viewed in historical context and not as reality. Unfortunately such realities still plague us, and the makers of this amazing game felt bad about partly contributing to these problems. So they make an apologetic song showing they mean no harm and bundle it with the game to show they are aware of the negative consequences. Respect ++

@Varyalover Empire wasn't bad, it had it's drawbacks, but it wasn't bad, Napoleon had a poor campaing but the rest was quite nice, If you have a good computer Shogun is quite nice , good campaing and awesome multiplayer campaing, the avatar sistem had lots of nice thngs and awfull things like great disadvatanges to new players, but it is a good game.Sorry for my english

I want a rome total war 2 with extended map, a barbarian invasion that goes into the 7th century or a rise of islam total war expansion for rome 2 if they make it, and medieval 3 sounds nice but this time they should make the starting periods earlier and with no rebel factions so it's legitimate fighting against factions!

When my system fails for some reason or I switch PCs, it's nice to have a good portion of my collection available for downloading and installing in one place.

@MateusVIII That's sort of already done with the M2TW Kingdoms Americas campaign. It was all right. It was very unbalanced, the Aztecs, Mayans, Apaches etc all were very weak, even in high numbers. And Victoria Total War would only have a few factions. You could mod the Campaign map into Africa with Geomod in Medieval 2 and create your own factions like Zulu etc. It would be hard work.

In modern war, a single army may have a front some 100 km wide with 40 km depth. The space covered by an entire army back then can easily be done with a single company today.
