Yes you can. I think you forgot that you can grab someone's shirt and pull them to the floor and you can also ankle tap. Basically, you can do anything below the neck as long as its with arms and hands but without punching, squeezing or slapping. And you have to stay away from the nether region :)

Keys to tackling.

1. Footwork and timing(practise)

2.body positioning (align your body to maximise your hit)

3. choose the spot your going to hit(i.e an inch below the chest or an inch below the waistline for dominant tackles or if the person isnt aligned with your body take the ankles after you hit the legs.

3.Drive your legs or launch if your good.

4. dont be scared or you'll get hurt.(most important)

5. dont get hit in the head by the hip or knee.(keep your head to the side)
