Jackie Brown out does Dusk til Dawn. This list is overindulgent masturbation. First off, I think a real Tarantino movie is both written and directed by the man, a complete vision. Not just one or the other. Secondly, Natural Born Killers final script wasn't written by Quentin, it was written by Oliver Stone who had bought the original script that Quentin had done and rewrote it to suit his needs. Check the credits if you don't believe me, it only gives Tarantino credit for the original script.

I liked some parts of Basterds; however, I felt like it dragged on too much and I lost interest halfway into the film.

I thought the screenplay, cast etc was extremely obscure and therefore delightfully fresh. the only feeling i have of repetition is his use of morricone and other spagetti western music, which i have no problem with as it works so well.

He takes a film on, and adapts it to how he feels works. Apart from the score's of the movies theres nothing really consistant with what discribes a "western" movie. Excluding kill bill as the focusing on the characters is very similar to a western. Still i hope he uses morricone for his adaptation of Django.

The Studio exec's didn't feel comfortable giving him control of a multi-million dollar movie (even with the success of Res Dogs... hadn't hit cult status yet) so they bought his script and let Tony Scott direct (and completely change the ending) True Romance and Oliver homo stone direct N.B.K.
