I haven't played Chrono Cross, but I loved the music from Chrono Trigger. If someone composed Frog's theme for an orchestra, it would be the greatest thing of all time. There are videos of people playing it on guitar or piano that I enjoy, but an orchestra would be even cooler.

One of the most beautiful pieces I've heard. It really captures the spirit of adventure in the high seas. The orchestra played this wonderfully, but unfortunately whoever adjusted the sound of the guitarist did not do a good job, drowning out the rest of the orchestra, specifically the introductory solo by the flute which in this case is where the emphasis should have been. The flute was at the correct volume at about Forte, but the guitar was adjusted to Mezzo Forte, or perhaps even Fortizzimo.

@megadeth1056 So that's what I was hearing wrong with the guitar, other than the obvious volume. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. You are absolutely correct. Nylon strings would have definitely improved the guitar's sound. Steel strings were not a wise choice in this case.

@wanako86 It's got nylon strings (you can tell by the way they are tied to the saddle, instead of using pins), but he is not playing it in a classical manner. Not only is his position wrong, but he is committing the grave sin of playing with a plectrum. The rhythm part after the intro is completely wrong as well, both in notes and method. (He should be using rasgueo) That, and nylon-stringed guitars with piezo pickups (like this one) always have this terrible, distorted sound to my ears.

@BlindBoar I think there might be some weirdness going on..like, its clear that the recorder is watching the guitarist. I know a lot of my old choir videos were like that -- trying too hard to emphasize the person imiportant to you's role, but ends up diminishing the whole of the performance.

I sing low bass so if you concentrate on me, it all sounds pretty stupid. Damn tenors, get all the best parts.
