Al ISN'T the "best guitarist ever", but surely is really talented. I really expected more from him while playing in Megadeth, but his work was good. Maybe he needs to put more from him on-stage, but that's something he can improve.

By the moment, I don't think he's underrated. He has just got the rate he deserves.

Sometimes we only see the good in everyone, but unfortunately that's not enough for what they are doing.

I'm just saying the way he achieves that sound is you know a loud amp/effect like we discussed but they key is just slamming your fingers to the fretboard as fast and hard as you can. If you do that it sounds like you will be picking every note.

Check at 1:27, it's a tad slower ,but it's all picked and involves huge string skipping.

If r a guitarist, then you know that picking 2 nps at those speeds is insane, and with the string skips and big interval leaps in it makes it even harder.

Al plays legato here on a standard pentatonic lick without string skipping which doesn't require 2 hand coordination and is not all that hard to do.
