True, and this is not a good incentive for those thinking of persuing a higher education. The people that we outsource our jobs to get better by the year. How long before they realize that they don't need our money?
One question: If people are losing jobs like flies, how come the Mexicans can come here and find jobs? They work like dogs for a living, but this guy complains about losing a high salary? Yes, there is another side to outsourcing, but it has made products cheaper. This is America, if someone wants a better job, they can find it, but they have to work for it. Hard work built this country, not the unions.

As mush as I sympathies with you, I will say globalisation is rampant. If american jobs are being outsourced to India and elsewhere, america is also benefiting. Companies such as dell, HP and soon walmart do/will benefit from export sales! Besides Who can resist the temptations of top of the range contract cell phones, mp3 players and other electronics it is because of china and India many people NOT ALL have a lot more disposable income.
America is NOT benefitting from being turned into a service economy and those companies you named are American only in origin and not in practice. They're multinationals with no loyalty to America. Those foreign countries have all sorts of subsidies and artificially depressed currency. It's not a fair playing field by any stretch.

Don't forget insourcing. That is the corollary to offshore outsourcing. If they cannot offshore the job then they bring in the slave labor into the country. Same effect, erosion of worker rights, job loss, lower wages, general treatment of working America like a disposable diaper.
