No more heroes is such an awesome game. It's a shame it was censored in the European/Japanese version. Are all games in eurpoe or japan like this? That's kinda sad. If Japan censores their version, why censor europes version? It doesn't make any sense. Nice trailer though.
Well, actually the Japanese Ver. is the original. So, America made it worse. Why? Because Americans are some violent mother fuckers, AND IM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!!!!
The producer of the game (SUDA 51) wanted the game to be as violent as possible. I guess because of ratings the Japanese and European versions got the light stuff.
@Kool212 The game was censored for Japan and unfortunately the European publisher had to localize the game from the Japanese version so we got screwed even though the contents of NA version wouldn't have been a problem in EU.
@Tboyish actually, the japanese version is the censored version, since it seems that excessive violence is not tolerable in Japan. The version of No More Heroes that we got WAS the original, so Suda 51 just censored it out.
The black just doesn't look as good as red - I really don't see the point in removing the red blood from the UK and JP versions. It's a mature rated game - it's not available for children to buy. Also, they should have cut the swearing out and 'scenes of a sexual nature' if they want to make it family friendly.
The blood thing doesn't actually bother me - it's just that black has absolutely no presence! Red is vibrant!
it is because the culture, in Japan they don't like violent games and in the UK this games get banned like Manhunt 2, so in the US no one cares about it, this is the reason of the blood thing
and in the UK it would be banned if it had blood so at least if you live in the UK you got the game omg nubs
actualy japan is where the most violent stuff comes from but what i dont get is suda tried to make it as violent as manhunt but he didnt want it to repeat the same situation?
the new game will have a setting to if you want it bloody or not

I love the random English in the advertisement.
Do you have the scene where he just says "moe" without anything obscuring the sound? XD

Read my post again, chief.
The game has an 18 certificate. It is only meant for adults. Therefore, the blood is not a problem. So why change it?
stevieistheman 3 years ago
Actually it's rated 16 in Europe.

yes, because of all the stuff they cut. Such as the blood and some cutscenes.
