I think Boston's lost it and rust is not an excuse. It'll take a huge effort to come back in a series where Carolina has outplayed them so far. It's a shame, really. I was hoping for a Washington vs Boston ECF and looks like both teams might not make it.

Actually Montreal was on their way to winning that game in the third, they were out shooting boston 12-2 when Georges was called for the cross-check. From what I saw in the second and third, Boston played like shit, they were backing down and letting montreal come right at them. Who do they think they are, the Canadiens of the 70's... Bruins aren't suppose to back down from the Canadiens.

The canadiens are weak. They gave everything they had in game 1 but still lost, so in game 2 they were broken. It's over for the habs.

Yeah they are weak, I don't know how anyone considered them Stanley Cup Favs at the start of the season... like how is Koivu and Kovalev supposed to lead a team to a Stanley Cup, C'mon now. Last year they managed to finish first because they were healthy all year and they got the right bounces in close games, so I guess everyone thought since they finished first last year they were going to win the cup this year. They'll need to be sharp if they expect to win in Montreal for games 3 & 4.

and if you're talking about the penalty that caused the power play, that caused the goal... Well that clearly was a cross check, and a pretty dumb one at that...

In the way that there's been like 20 of these crosschecks on both sides during the game! And he devides to call it with 8 minute to go in the 3rd!

You can't decide a game in the playoffs by calling penalties when you feel like!

20? Really? There's a big difference between getting rough & clearing out the front of the net, and throwing a blatant cross check from behind in plain site of 2 refs. Come on... He made a stupid play, the refs called him on it, and it cost Montreal the game... It was about as straight up of a call as you can get.

Come on, it sucks that something stupid like that cost you the game but they have to maintain some sort credibility. I'm all for letting them play rough, especially in the playoffs, and if Axe dove I'd be the first to say it was a dive. But it clearly wasn't and if they let that go, with both of them staring right at it, they probably would be having a long conversation with the league about their future employment. Tough hockey is tough hockey, but that was a penalty all day.

At least the habs proved that this round will not be easy for the Bruins! I can't wait for the next game! Its been at the image of the rest of the season, tight games, with a little advantage for Boston! except for the first beat-up 6-1, Bruins had that little touch of not giving up, and get that extra goal in the third period!
