@QueenOfOpal123 mainly for drainage so your plants wont get flooded. another plus is that it will weight less.

@duwwi1978 Cryptantus, neoregelia, vinyl orchid, tropical moss, Peperomia-Puteolata, ficus pumila - aka creeping fig, bulbitis.

Is the ground cover just java moss? It looks slightly different as it grows in a more dense and low manner.
