  • what product did you use to dye your hair back to brown????

  • You are so lucky you didn't give yourself a chemical cut, low grade bleach is the worse for your hair. My best friend had hair like a rubber band after using low grade (Sally's purchased bleach). Deep condition the heck out of your hair (purology deep conditioner is great) and when you do your roots DO NOT put the bleach on the shaft or you will weaken your hair. Other then that I like the color you achieved and you are very pretty :)

  • I like how real you are, you stay you!

  • I love your hair. I'm planning on doing the exact same thing. And as well with my extensions. I was wondering if you had any more tips ?

  • What was your experience with the ombre hair? Did you like it?

  • Snookie

  • you look like christina aguilera!

  • Your roots don't look bad at all love your hair my hair is black and want it light brown

  • Turns hair orage in color treated hair

  • @blndheart not for everyone

  • i too like the root look!, but ofc not to rooty lol just about how u have it here in the vid!

  • It really is safer in the long run to re-do your roots in the salon. I'm a cosmetologist and recently went blonde again, and the best way to get rid of your dark roots is to have a professional color your hair for you. Yes, it is more expensive than buying color at a drug store, but its safer and better for your hair that way. And in the long run it is cheaper.

  • I looooove it n the roots as well. Keep it like that for ever. I am going to try n get it like that, I'll let u know how it goes. C u soon

  • i loveeee your blonde hair! i think you looked good with dark hair but this looks stunning on you :)

  • you have a nice colour now, but I think you looked stunning before with dark hair. When I used products for at home I did it all 4 weeks, at the hairdresser he does a special techinque he does it after 2-3 month, but I also don´t like having roots.

  • What kind of blond is that ? I really like it..

  • I love the color of your hair, I have dark brown hair dyed with dye from Sally Beauty. I am looking to do cap highlights at home but what dye would you suggest to use (from Sally)? Also - is there a certain kind of frosting cap I should look at getting? Merci <3

  • @IcedCupcakes i was thinking that too!

  • you remind me of snooky .__.

  • Hi dearie! You kinda remind me of Ashley Tisdale! You are really beautiful!

  • it looks cuter with the roots in a little. i was blonde for years and years and im heading back that way... so yeah.. the roots are cute

  • Which Hair extensions are they hun ox

  • ahh i love your hair color here!! i wanted to do my hair like this and the damn woman BLEACCCCCHHHHED out my hair i mean like platinum it was awful.....

  • I like your color, I think its great!

  • You dont look like snookie she is ugly...but i do agree you remind me of Tracy from Jerseylicious she is pretty and so are you. i like you in both dark and light hair. you can pull both off really well

  • When I was blonde, I just did the whole re-highlighting over again, but pulled it through really heavy strands instead of small ones. Also, I didn't put it all through the whole long piece, only at the roots of course! haha.

  • when you dyed it in vegas, did u use the revlon frost and glow or just a regular blonde dye?? it looks so pretty in the picture of vegas where ur with danny

  • Comment removed

  • I have extensions. They are 100% Remy hair. Do i dye those the same amt. of time as my hair?

  • blonde hair looks pretty even your color is cute but not on you. you can choose to accept it or not. you're image is affected

  • oh my gooosshhh. i'm sorry but this looks terrible! dark hair is perfect for you.

wanting to switch things up, i understand. an auburn would've looked gorgeous...

  • LOLLL, love the violins in the background.

  • I love the blonde on you!

  • u love talking ....lol

  • but i think darker look good on u ...

  • nice color hair...

  • PART TWO: I mix up the bleach , and use the pointed applicator tip to dispense it on my roots and under the wrapped pony tails. After the time is up I get in the shower and rinse my roots carefully. Remove the foils and slide the pony tails off. Then continue rinsing and use the conditioner that comes with the kit .This method works really well . I use the small cloth covered pony tail holders in white.

  • PART ONE : well...for myself...I have very blonde hair which is naturally brunette. I let my roots grow for about 3 months before I touch it up. I use Born Blonde. I take and section my hair & put it in little pony tails. I then put conditioner on the part of my hair that is already blonde, leaving the root dry. I then take foil and wrap the conditioned blonde hair up. This is to protect it from getting rebelached and breaking. I slide the pony tail just past the dark roots. I mix up ...

  • i love blonde with dark roots

  • you have like the same journey wit ur hair as me!

  • I think darker roots look good too.

  • @sglynn88 i was thinking the same thing!!! :)

  • my hair was a bit similar to yours, my natural colour is brown and ive recently been highlighting my hair blonde, i have done it 5 times over the past 6 months, so my hair now has almost chunks of blonde in, how would you recommend for me to dye my hair blonde without my highlights turning a white sort of colour from bleaching it?

  • i bleached my hair, well my "professional hairdresser" bleached my hair over 10 times to get my purple out. And lets just say i REALLY REGRET IT. Bleach puts holes in your hair and can really screw up you hair follicles. My hair won't grow even after using endless amounts of leave in conditioners, no heat for almost 4 months now, and chopping most of my hair off. I look like a trucker. I would say Moroccan oil treatment would stay with me always. It makes a difference and smells amazing.

  • what did you do once your roots started to grow out? did you just keep getting the frost and glow kit and put it all over?

  • vegas hair <3

  • I like the roots. look at shakira, she always has major roots. and it means less up keep.

  • love your videos, blonde look really good on you.

  • what extencion do u use. love your videos

  • brown was way better you dont look natural with blonde

  • Your hair looks beautiful

  • your roots look fine, and when doing root touch ups , especially on blonde hair is you do not want to get colour on your midlength to ends, just the roots and the best way of doing that is either going to a salon, using foils or even getting a friend to do it.

  • Hey Mel, honestly, I thin the rots showing looks better and more natural. I am so used to you having your brown hair, I really loved how it looked on you...oh well, we all need changes sometimes. I am trying to decide what I wanna do with my hair....it's currently dark, I fell like I wanna lighten up, but I'm scared of the hair damage.

  • You're so pretty, cute and even funny haha!! ♥

By the way, I too like the whole root-regrowth-thing! It just doesn't bother me that much and like you said, it looks kinda purposely dirty and messy which I think is sexy in its own way and not so perfectly kept-up and highlighted. Maybe if someone was like all over "hooker blonde" with 2 inch black roots, then that looks cheap in my opinion. I also agree on and recommend the Shimmering Lights Shampoo for highlighted hair...it works good!! :)

  • your hair are so pretty :)

  • you're stunning with with both!<3

  • i love it, what color did you use?

  • you look better as a brunnette..

  • when you say you dyed your hair blonde in vegas did you actually go blonde or did you just add more highlights?

  • i like roots too . <3 &i just did the same thing with my hair . :)

  • even without your roots coloured, it looks great :)

  • what extentions do you use? i love them!

  • @alannaxi131 thats her natural hair....

  • @MarschesaDash no its not.. u didnt watch the whole video did u?

  • @retroSTAAR haha i posted the comment and i heard what she said 2 seconds after.

i didnt feel like deleting my comment. -.-

  • my natural haircolor is blonde, and i would say let it grow out a bit ;)

  • i have bleach blonde hair, my natural haircolor is like a medium brown color. i let my roots grow out about half an inch to an inch. usually once a month. i use super blonde hair dye from walmart or kmart. i loveeee you with blonde hair! dye it back! it looks so good.

  • I think it looks nice :)

  • you are adorable, dont let the roots grow out to much but i agree they look good in a funny way. I am thinking of going blonde but it is a bit scary! Im scared my hair will fall out... its not even brown but the idea of it scares meeeeeeeeeeh .....xococoocnj iwjqonfjksdfejlnjFmF PENIS VAGINA Hhdhshhshs

  • what can I do to go from black to brown?PLZ :(

  • you have a beautyfull color of hair..a want too((

  • Why did you decide to go back to dark? Both looks lovely one you. What brand hair extensions do you wear¿

  • @byebyebelly be sure you know what you're doing because mistakes can be costly. There are so many hair color removal systems out there too so it's hard to say which is best for you without seeing your hair. This is just a general way I would fix because I was dark brown with gold highlights & I brought my self to all over blonde. You can email me thru here & if I can be of any help don't hesitate to ask I am a 4th generation hair stylist & am more than happy to help a fellow blondie in need <3

  • @Wingedisis77 Thanks... I have a rinse over it now so now it looks medium brown with dark blonde highlights.. thank God! But I think what I'm going to do is get a set of foils once more at the hairdressers and then put a medium ash blonde over the whole thing. Then I think I will be happy with it and should blend well with my natural regrowth

  • @byebyebelly if you want a warm blonde you can use a white bleach. Ok apply to the previous colored hair first it will go thru some ugly color changes & you may have to repeat this but once you have reached the desired blond color apply to the roots where you have the most heat & once the color is seamless you can either tone your hair with a toner or a demi color for an all over seamless shade or if you want some dimension enlist a friend who can foil or pull thru cap with a demi or toner.

  • @byebyebelly So many colors and you are stuck in the middle poor girl. Ok this is what I would do if I were you. I would get a good keratin conditioner & use it & apply heat to it to get the maxim repair because you are preparing your hair strands for even color. Now after it's in pretty decent shape. You are going to have to lift the brown out of your hair by using bleach. Your bleach choice is depending on what color blond you are trying to achieve. If you want a cool blonde use a blue bleach

  • But on the plus side, doing it this way, I cant see any damage at all and my hair isnt even drier or anything, so maybe its best to do it this way.

  • I dont know how you do this. I'm natural blonde and I dyed my hair brown. Now because of the blonde roots, I decided to go back blonde. They gave me a full head of foils and I look like a zebra, so I put a dark rinse in it to hide it. Now I have to wait months to get another full head of foils to try and get a lot of the brown out. Then I'll put a medium ash blonde on top once theyre all done. I have to get platinum foils otherwise it goes orange.

  • omg i thought its snooki lol

  • On u

  • I like roots

  • Blonde hair tips. I am a repeat offender of going dark & then back blonde again. Here is what I suggest you do. Your ends are a perfect color so what I suggest you do when you have new growth is go to your local sallys & buy a level 9 neutral gold shade & use 30 volume developer. The neutral color will keep the brassiness down & the gold will give you a warm shade. 30 volume will give you the extra lift you need to bring you up in about an hour or less. Apply this only to new growth

  • @Wingedisis77 How do you do it?? Im natural blonde, dyed my hair dark, now trying to go back blonde. I paid $200 for a full head of foils and I look like a zebra, so I put very dark blonde rinse in it to even it all out and it temporarily looks brown with light brown/dark blonde highlights.

  • u look like Snooki

  • did you do something to your eyebrows to make them less harsh with blonde hair versus brown hair?

  • @TheMissyBree I am not trying to take over in here I just wanted to say this last thing because this is a great question!!most hair dressers I know talk their clients out of lightening their brows because it does grow in fairly quickly & can look obvious if you don't do the up keep but I highly suggest trying it you may like how it softens your face & it's easy just watch so closely facial hair lightens fast. ps.quick tip 4 a mascara free great sexy look have your eyelashes dyed black

  • My hair has turned very yellow/orange after bleaching it. I've tried the shampoos and the other tricks to "counteract" but nothing has worked. Should I just do what you did with the frost and glow (apply it as a dye)?

I really need some help =(

  • @amandae415 Youre going to have to dye your hair ultra ash blonde and then dye it a darker blonde afterwards. Most peoples hair goes orange, especially trying to dye it darker or medium blondes. You have to let it process longer and go lighter, a professional will probably have to do it.

  • @ByeByeBelly Thank you so much! you have no idea how much i appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

  • Your voice sound excactly like me O_O

  • i dyed my hair blonde b4 my wedding i wasnt to happy with how it came out cut im a natural dark dirty blonde, it took me 3 times to get it close enough and that was in 5 day so i realy killed my hair. it got lighter over time with was nice. i like to have my roots grow out about 4in then take a dyeing brush and smooth it into my roots and blend it down into the already blonde part. i use hello hydration from herbelecens its amazing just keep it in for 5min and instantly feel silky hair!

  • no offence but u look better with dark hair

  • I like blonde hair with dark roots too, Lool :)

  • yayaya

  • i Really Love that Color . What would be Best too Use since its my first time Bleaching ?

  • I normally let them grow out a little bit just to save some money lol. but my hair lady said it would be best to do them every 6 to 8 weeks. My hair dresser does my hair (:

  • You have sweet eyes

  • Use John Frieda go blonder lightening spray!! You'd just spray it on your roots and it will gradually lighten them!

  • The purple conditioner it dryer ur hair out :( but will it be ok for oily hair? Like mine lol I HAVE to wash it EVERYDAY and if I'm lucky I'll wash it the next next day but I really wanna know :)

Plus it's sooooo bad for u to die ur extensions that blonde if it was the darkest brown that u had why didn't u just buy anthor pair??? So that if u went back to brown u still had them and then u can use the blonde for like highlights :)

  • haha i love dark roots too! But I DONT like light roots if you have dyed your hair dark, it looks a bit odd.

  • I LOVE your hair! I've been looking e erywere for a frost and glow kit?! But Ive had no luck :/ I was wondering were you got yours from? If someone could help me, would be grate :D xo

  • Oh my gosh.. You look like Tracy from Jerseylicious & Snooki! Such a pretty girl! (:

  • You should get the John freida go blonder sheer blonde controlled lightning spray. I hope it helps:)

  • you look like snooki!!!!!!!!! :)

  • I would so lick your ass for hours.

  • After highlighting my hair for about 2 years every month, which made them tottaly blonde,i decided to dye them all like silver blonde-white colour. My hair was really damaged,so i bought Kerastase nutrithermique mask which wasnt cheap (35 euros i believe) but it worked and like in a month i had really healthy hair, even healthier tha when it was my natural color! I dont know if you can find it in US but you should definetely check that out! Apply the product, and put a towel on for 5' and rinse!

  • hii i highlight my hair like 5 month ago my real hair is ash blond i wanna do it blond what do u advice me ?

  • I like 'real' blondes ... and then I love real brunettes. I LOVE REAL! She needs to go back to her natural color ... In my opinion, her 'new' hair just isn't working with this skin tone :( BUT! As long as she's happy. We need more happy people :) Please let me in on the highway when I roll down the window and wave you down :) Warmest, S.

  • Loving the blonde! Im brunette atm but have been for years wanting to dye my hair highlighted with a mix of highlights, trouble is I always wear extensions brunette ones which I believe are already colour treated, I live in London in the UK so not sure if the box highlight kit you have in the US is I can buy here, my sis in law cuts n colours my hair and she tried lifting the colour out of the extensions but apparently applying bonde made it look orange! any one got any tips 2 highlight exten.?X

  • Like the blonde but you look better brunette. :)

  • Honestly, I always thought dark roots with blonde hair look cheap and trashy.

  • maybe you would have saved yourself a lot of TIME and MONEY by just going into a salon and having a profesional do it??? ahahah. but it looks good. as a blondie, i die my roots professionally as soon as the roots grow out about 3/4 of an inch

  • I let them grow out a little bit, since it seems to be like... the fashion to have long dark roots? But, I don't rush. :)

btw. You're beautiful and I love watching your videos xo.

  • you look much better as a blond.

  • i love ur hair... and i like the roots i think the roots makes it look more natural...

  • my hair is naturally lighttttt blonde. in your face! (: hahaha jk

  • my natural hair color is dark dark brown and my hair is bleached light blonde...so I go CRAZY if i dont bleach my roots like every 3 weeks...im awful..i know lol

  • blonde blonde blonde :) !!! it took me forever to go blonde cause my hair is soooo soo darkk and it was so depressing during my process. i had horrible experiences. I had to dye it way too many times ..

  • I have blonde highlights&have for a long time but a while ago i dyed it black &then red and now have blonde and brown highlights and myhair is very yellowish & golden so am going to use the shampoo you are saying. I really want to go all blonde but im not sure as i have brown hair & about the roots how do you do them as i don't want to go to a hairdresser or do all of it every 2/4 weeks, how did you decide to go all blonde & that it would suit you, and what extensions do you use? glue or clip? x

  • I love your hair color, I'm going blonde tomorrow :) yay!..... I like the roots on you too

  • for your roots you should use root rescue by loreal i use it all the time its amazing!! good luck! :)

  • I use the blonde shampoo & It keeps my roots from growing in so dark. I have naturally dirty blonde hair, but I have my hair practically platinum. It's about halfway down my back, so I don't have too much of a problem with roots, because I obviously have plenty of hair. But, I tend to let my hair grow a few inches, and then I just dye the roots. I highlight sometimes, but rarely. Hope it helps. <3

  • It looks okay, the blonde hair, but brown hair is waaay better. This is the first vid ive watched from you so except for the picture you showed, i dont know how dark hair looks on you. But what i think now is that you look fine like this, but gorgeous with dark hair. :)

  • wow some of you guys are mean. her skin color looks FINE with the hair! i love her hair and i think that it is absolutely AMAZING that you can do that by yourself for a way better price than the salon.

  • well I get my hair bleached at the hairdresser but I wait about 5 Months inbetween the visits (I should mention my hair doesnt grow that fast so my roots are approx. 2inches when i get them colored) I kow that is a lot of root but I just dont want to damage my hair by dying it all the time. I used to bleach my hair myself but I never liked the way it trned out. I have ash-blonde hair naturally and now I am golden blonde.

  • You can tell your not a natural blonde, your facial features are too Italian (not a bad thing) its fun to try new colours though I'm sure.

  • War Heads are painful ... O.o

  • Boobs ! We are all here to see BOOBS !

  • @taler987

    yea

  • Your hair is beautiful ! I love it!

Before watching this video, I was on the fence about decolorizing my hair from black to blonde. After seeing your success, I've decided to go ahead with it! Ive been wanting to have lighter hair as I have dyed it just about every other color!

  • i let my roots grow in a bit. but if u keep jus putting on bleach eventually u might be too blonde and u might wanna think about lowlights to keep the dimension

  • Which video could I see a better look at your ombre hair in the pic @ 1:15?

  • i like the roots ;-)

  • - I Think She Looks Gorqeous !

  • i like the darker roots better until they get about to the ear

  • its beautiful!

  • i think this really doesnt suite your skin and eye color :/

  • @gthebumblebee i agree, maybe like a dark highlight to tht?

  • @SuperMakeupLova yeah! or a dark all over color with a few blonde highlights?

  • @gthebumblebee yaaaa agreed!

  • What did you wear for Extensions at this Video :*

  • Doesnt suit your skin colour.

  • 9;07 to 9;10 really funny

  • <3

  • Do u have light or olived skin?

  • Although i do enjoy the Organix line as well. It is a good quality line for being over the counter.

  • The shimmer lights is amazing... its great for counteracting Yellow. Purple neutralizes yellow. If you leave it on for a longer period of time it will make your blonde hair purple, blue, or a nice shade of muddy gray.

And no a conditioner and treatments are not the same. conditioners merely coat and smooth the outside layer of the hair. Treatments penetrate deeper into the hair.

And remember you get what you pay for. If you want a really great conditioner/shampoo buy from a professional.

  • The new growth looks great! Im a cosmetologist.. and the frost and glow is actually just Bleach.. not a "dye" it darkened over time possibly because its now more porous.. so it grabs color from air pollution, hard water.

  • L'Oreal root rescue is supposed to be good to dye roots.

  • Yes please tell us all how you went from brunette to crispy fried orangey-blonde...

  • @vmsmusz lolol

  • you remind me of snooki.

  • PLEASE Mel do an up date on your hair color and roots !!!

  • i think for chemically treated hair esspesially blonde hair you need to use prfesional products for ur hair so it acctually like puts moisture back into the hair that it needs and treatment isnt a fancy word for conditioner loll but its like a mask for ur hair its more moisturizing ur supposed to dry ur hair off before using it and leave it in for like minimum of 5mins to work properly but its good to use as a coditioner for damaged hair ;)

  • u look like whitney, the friend of lauren from the hills ;)

  • I like my hair a lot better when my roots are showing a bit. from the point I get out from salon, I cant wait for my hair to grow out like half an inch ;)

  • I like the roots xD But like you can get a kit & it shows you.

I like the roots because your hair isn't like REALLY blonde soo a little brown is cute.

  • i think it's cute when the roots show with blonde hairrr

  • i like dark roots with blonde hair :)

  • You look Amazing!!! Color is perfect. the hues in that blonde turned out really soft and dimensional. You should be proud of yourself! Thanks for the info chiquiita! *wink*

  • ya my hair is the same way i leave the roots untill it gets realli black lol

  • You suit dark and blonde! Really want to try out the highlights you did, your tutorial was really good! x

  • the colours nice, but i think you are too dark skin tone to go that extreme white blonde

  • LOL xDD.. .LOOVEEED the pix @ 2:10.. .you're HiLARiOUS<333

  • I have dyed my hair blonde for years and I also have long hair, so I think I would be 'qualified' to answer. TBH, I have always been very cruel to my roots. The moment I saw them pop up I did a root touch up. To keep everything natural I chose an ash shade of blonde or a 'natural' one. Whatever you do, stay away from boxes with 'golden' on it. Put the dye on your root area only to keep the length healthy. Then wet your hair for 1 second run the dye through the length. Then rinse. That's it!

  • the conditioner turned my yellow highlights completely WHITE. it works for toning just not so much softening so i just add deep conditioner to my hair

  • You know, yours eyes really look like those from Christina Aguilera.

    Your pretty! <3

  • You have nice hair, but really..

you hair looked really better before, and more wonderful and very very nice , and the colors dark/ blonde highlights looked better on you , in this video of yours :

How I highlighted my hair ♡ Brunette to Blonde ( it was stunning really!

day it back to this! :-O
