Good video. Its good to see that you are level headed. I do think that boot time is really quite irrelevant, because windows is bigger operating system, and normally has a lot of start up processes. If you remove most desktop icons (Like macs) and take off unwanted start up processes, windows boots quickly. (XPS 15 boots sooooo fast!)

You gave Mac OSX a five second headstart retatrd, they both booted at the same time.

Besides, the Macs will be faster because the hardware is dedicated FOR mac OSX, where as Windows machines are designed for compatability. YOu can't go in and change the Mac parts around and expect them all to function correctly, PC's you can.

The problem is Windows no matter what version has always been a bloated mess, while Mac OS is based on Unix which is allot more streamlined.

My Ubuntu partition loads faster than my Windows 7 on 8gb's of DDR3 ram.

Only thing I can't really do in Ubuntu is play that many games, everything else there is a open source that runs in Ubuntu that can everything else I want. Which is why I hardly ever load into windows.

I would hope that Ubuntu loads quicker than Windows 7 on 8GB of RAM, especially because Linux distros were designed primarily to work with much slower, older computers. Open source is just fine if that's your thing, but GIMP can't compare to Photoshop, etc, etc. OSX on the other hand, is UNIX based ,but is as different from UNIX as a Camaro is to a TransAm, having incorporated BSD, NeXTSTEP and Mach into the equation. And it's only about 5% faster than W7 on benchmarks.
