Going by yearly average I'd say we are still in a recession. 1st quarter of 2010 revised down to 2.7% and given the dismal retail and housing numbers I'd say the 2nd quarter should be near 0%

He was dead on the money, and all this thats happening is due to peak oil. All the finacial wizardry that everyone is complaining about is what has delayed the collapse by 3 years. They blew the housing and credit bubbles because they knew peak oil was coming.

omg cell phone chargers emit 0.2 mcg of CO2 per minute. They must be taxed! In order to track usage to estimate the proper tax rate, every charger must have a chip installed! And every person must have a database that records everything they say and do, so that their carbon footprint can be properly monitored! no...it's starting to hit people...look at obama's numbers...he should be 15 to 20 points up on mccain...but he's not. I looked up the rcp polls for today and obama is only ahead by 4.8 and it's been pretty steady that way for a bit now. I'm not saying that it's only this...but I definitely think it's hurting him. the list keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
