@redstar5583 For Exhibition teams, they play a little more loosely with the uniform rules, and are allowed to in our competition. I think pretty much as long as the items worn are authorized uniform items, like the epaulets

and berets, they are allowed in our competition. When I was Active Duty and ran a team, I had a letter on file from the base commander authorizing our uniforms, which stood out from anyone else on the base.

@rickieingle101st That's what we used at Langley...but I help run this competition now. I think Patrick Henry was using 03s that year, I forget what they are using now. A lot of the teams are using the 03 replicas made by Daisy. They take a beating pretty well.

Do many of the kids go into the armed forces upon leaving school? Do many of them go straight into officer training school?

@tich302001 In my observation, quite a few of the students from JROTC enlist in the military upon graduation, and a smaller number go into college ROTC programs. Some will get academy appointments.

@twahl67 I did 2.5 years of AF JROTC. I leave for Marine Corps boot camp on 20110207. I know of at least 10 other people who have or are going into the armed forces, either through enlisting or ROTC. And that's out of an average 90-100 students who do JROTC at my old high school every year.

As for me, I earn myself a promotion to Private First Class for 2 years or JROTC, but the USMC doesn't go past that. Army and Air Force can promote up to E-3 I think if you do a full 4 years of JROTC.

Anyway, I'm doing ROTC and dance (2 completely different classes) because I love exercising :) gotta stay in shape. Plus, I may join the military... But my main reason for ROTC is because they'll give you a scholarship for college >.> if I get the scholarship, I have to service 2 years for the military after college. Ah well, seems like fun <3

yeah im in the acf. british drill in my opinion looks more disciplined as the Americans cow kick (not an insult, its the way you move your feet while halting/turning etc).

But overall its not a Britain vs America war. its a Britain & American vs Terrorism war, we are on the same side so we dont need to beat the shit out of eachother online or in real life.
