  • is that Ron Jeremy driving the car? Awesome!

  • My only complaint on the Z4 (dad's) is the steering system, it lacks feel and mostly is too light. The traditional one on the Z4 M I'm told gives much more steering feel. If you don't mind losing some luxury (or would consider a solstice/sky), I'd easily recommend a used s2000 with low miles. Unless of course, you enjoy really plush rides. But if that's the case, then stay away from any of these cars and buy a Merc SLK. The z4 rides terribly over the smallest road imperfections.

  • IDIOT AMERICAN! he has the auto instead of the manual!

AND it is a ZED 4 not a Zeeee 4.

  • @therealLucianWolf Your stupid its Z4 you fucking dick

  • zee 4 AAAHHAHAHah

  • Lol...comparing the smaller engine BMW sports car to a friggin open/saturn redline (higher up model).

Also this guy didn't actually test the 0-60 speed because BMW always understates it. For example..it lists 0-60 on a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si as 5.6 or 5.7 seconds, while motortrends tested the manual at just 5.1 seconds.

  • the Zee 4 lol

  • Think he hit his head hard..comparing those cars with bmw like they were in same class or something.. "You could get this M3 but pontiac explore is just as good... lol"

  • i genuinely think this guy is retarded. the saturn and pontiac are widely regarded as epic failures, nobody else would recommend one over a bmw.

  • As an MX-5 owner, I don't care for the Sky/Solstice twins much at all.

But the guy does have a point.

Unless you really need the luxury, or more cargo space, it's hard to justify spending nearly 10 grand more on the BMW from a performance standpoint.

  • no, you sure as hell can. drive them both. you'll find the gearbox clunky on the solstice, the interior cheap, and the engine unsmooth. the bmw, on the other hand, is a true driver's car. it's abs system never cuts in too soon. no other car can claim this. plus, it has one of the world's greatest engines. if you care about cars, you'd buy the bmw. if you just want a car with no roof, and don't care about anything else, AND want to tell the world you hate cars, buy the solstice.

  • @spiffy72985

it wont fall to bits. sit inside an escolade for five mins and play with all the switches and then sit inside a range rover and do the same.

american build quality is pants..... having said that a moot point would be that the Zed 4 is made in america!!

  • @coolerdude44 Yeah, the guy's a moron. BMW kicks Saturn and Pontiac's poorly constructed auto anyday.

  • @coolerdude44 I think he was just saying that in terms of price the GM twins would be better for buyers on a budget, not alot of people have 44k to throw down, however, I am a BMW owner and give praise to the quality that BMW has graced us mortals with, If you have the loot then the Z4 is the "drivers choice" but if your an average joe and want something flashy and affordable the SKY isnt a bad option, I've driven one in REDLINE form and was surprised by the overall package its fitted with.
